its looking good, we may have a track for 2009. planing process going ok. its not just speedway track, BMX track, cycle track, 5 a side football pitches and study centre. It will benfit the counnity.
we will prob race in prem league and on a saturday.

only 1 month to the start of the new season

not long now only a few weeks

some rule changes for 2008 season.
the team average will be lower.
away wins will get 3 ponts
home wins 2 ponts.
there will be a play off between bottom team of the elite leage and the top team in the prem leage to decinde who rides in the elite league next season.

OMG! why have thy change the average rules?!?? some of the teams withthe top riders are really gonna struggle with that!!
i suppose the points thing makes sense tho...they do always say its harder to win away from home after all!!

I think they have changed the rules in the elite league and the average rule to make all the teams more even. It will make building a team more diffcult and a lot of riders will be moving clubs.

Coventry V Eastbourne Monday 31st March
New points system for 2008. 2 points for home win and 3 points for away win.
Heat 1
3 all. Scot Nicholls who now rides for Eastbourne.
Heat 2
3 all, Simon Gustafsson (Swedish) for Eastbourne wins the heat
Heat 3
3 all, again a Eastbourne rider wins the heat but Coventry riders were 2nd and 3rd. Chriss Harris tried to get round the outside to get 1st place but there was not enough grip at this stage.
Heat 4
4-2 to Coventry, Simon Stead won the heat for Coventry.
Heat 5
3 all Scot Nicholls won the heat and finished a way ahead of the two Coventry riders.
Heat 6
Rory Schlein bike broke down before the start but it seems unclear if he had time to switch bikes. He switches to Simon Stead’s bike but them gets excluded for being over 2minutes. He starts 15 metres back but fails to make any places up. Oliver Allen wins the heat and it was 3 all.
Heat 7
5-1 to Eastbourne and they took the lead on the night.
Heat 8
Lewis Bridger goes down on the 1st bend just after the start and the race is stopped. On the reply there seems to be no contact to make him go down. All 4 riders back in rerun. Heat finishes 3 all.
Heat 9
3 all. Edward Kennett wins the heat and manages to hold off the challenges of Chris Harris and Billy Janniro. It was then 28- 26 to Eastbourne
Heat 10
4-2 to Eastbourne
Heat 11
5-1 to Eastbourne
Heat 12
Simon Gustafsson front chain snapped causing to crash on the 4th bend and rider behind just misses him. The heat is rerun with 3 riders. It finishes 4-2 to Coventry.
Heat 13
3 all.
Heat 14
Billy Janniro bike brakes down that he borrowed from Chris Harris. 4-2 to Eastbourne and they win the meeting. They get 3 points for winning away.
Heat 15
5-1 to Coventry. Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls go wheel to wheel for the win. Scot trying to get a maximum but he crashes heavily on his hand on the 2nd bend on the last lap.
Eastbourne win 47- 43 and they look a very strong team.
