Former Hollyoaks actress Hannah Tointon has landed a part in horror movie The Day.

Tointon, who played Katy Fox, said her latest project is "completely different" to her TV role.

"It's quite gruesome and I get covered in buckets of blood," she told The Sun. "I might be too squeamish to even watch it!"

The Day, which also stars Jeremy Sheffield, Stephen Campbell Moore and Rachel Shelley, is released in November.

Speaking on the possibility of returning to work on a soap, she said: "I don't think I could work in another soap as Hollyoaks was so great.

"It is going from strength to strength and as Katy wasn't killed off there's always a chance I could return one day."

BUT she cant act so that film will be rubbish i bet.
i wont be going to watch it.

Probably another straight to DVD film if she is lucky given how many British films made don't even make it to the cinema

I would watch it but I do agree, The Day sounds a boring name lol.

if its out in november then they havent been shooting the film for very long! must be very low budget or summat! which isnt surprising seeing as hannah is the only actor ive heard of!

i dont have a problm with her. maybe she just didnt make Katy believable for some people. but if this character is the opposite to katy. maybe she'll be really good at it. i think ill just wait and see.

well hannah cant be that bad if she managed to get jobs before and after hollyoaks. good luck to her anyway.

Sorry but why are you all slating her before you have seen this film... at the end of the day its a different genre she may be better in this film you never know, dont knock it til you try it. Maybe it may be rubbish but we wont know that til we watch it!
