We're both doing fine, and I'm making a good recovery from my section. I was surprised we were allowed home so soon but apparently if you're up and mobile they feel happier about letting you go.
I had the CS because Ellie was lying across my cervix so there was no way I could have given birth naturally. Unfortunately nobody picked up on this until I was 7-8cm dilated and had been labouring for 16 hours.
After the op I also discovered that she had a knot in her cord, so if I had gone on to try to have her in the normal way there's no telling what the outcome would have been.
We feel so lucky and blessed to have her with us. I love being a mammy.
