According to today's papers, when Lil's took to the stage at New York's Roseland Ballroom last night she was slightly worse for wear. According to fans the gig was a 'bloody disaster'. She has claimed that her punishing tour schedule was pushing her close to the edge. She's admitted: 'I'm an alcoholic now. It's not good and that's why I want to get back into the studio. When you walk into a dressing room every night and there are 40 beers there, it's difficult not to drink them.'

She took to the stage two hours late and was 'unprepared, unprofessional and ungrateful' acording to a fan there. 'She was so drunk that she forgot the words to several of her songs' the fan said. She had to use lyric sheets aswell. All through the show she was apparently 'drinking, giggling and smoking'. Poor Lil's. She needs a hug and to be told everything will be alright. Maybe 'Cherylgate' is still bugging her...

I'm sorry but i can't stand her. She obviously doesn't care much about her fans if she can't stay sober for them!
And besides, why does she always have a go at people for no reason?? She needs a better hobby

Maybe when the tour is over she'll sort herself out. Although if she is unable to cope with what is a basic element of being a popstar, namely touring your music, then she shouldn't be doing that as a profession. She could always give all her money away (I assume she's made some) and get a job at Tesco's.

i have a drink problem. There has been a distinct lack of it in my house this week

i don't think its a drink problem all young people love to drink to excess as a music lover and musician its the done thing in the industry to get wrecked ALOT.
Saying she's an alcoholic is just a statement maybe she's realised its time to slow down though ....its always been done by independent musicians except unfortunatly we live in the nanny naughties ...not the relaxed 60's or the semi relaxed early 90's

My worry is that young people think drinking like these celebs is cool not realising you can wind up dead. Its true that not all peeps die but if you drink more than the guidance says a week for any length of time it will have an effect on your life , health, relatiosnhips and many other things.
If Lily Allen has a problem then I hope it gets sorted for her own sake

Oh dear Lily

She seems to be quite a solitary person, I mean we don't hear much about boyfriends do we. On tour there is a lot of pressure on her: sitting on the hotel bed in a huge multi-coloured gypsy dress, white trainers on her little feet, and a very appertising mini-bar that is just asking to be consumed. Lily needs a man to cuddle up to after each gig and to take her insecurities away.

i think she's got a man she's just very private plus she grew up with keith as her dad ...need i say more
