I am putting an add in my mum's nursery for babysitting. I am just wondering how much to charge an hour and what is the average that most people charge?
Also could someone help me on the courses i could take for babysitting. Like how uch they are, where can i go for infornmation, and where copuld i go for the course?
well I babysit for a local family and they pay me £12 if they're home before midnight and £15 after midnight. I'm not sure how it is for other people, but the person I babysit for did research and stuff so it should be pretty accurate. Also, my friends babysit and theyall seem to get paid around the £10-£15 mark too, so its pretty much the same
As for courses, I'm not sure if there are any courses, I think you just need to build up a good reputation for yourself because people talk, and if your name comes up and ppl trust you, they'll use you.
Good luck!!

I have been doing some research and i have found the average people charge per hour is between £4.50 and £8 (most charge about £6) and then extra £2 for another child. So i think i should settle with £5 per hour plus £1 for every other child. So say if i babysat for 2 children for 2 hours then i would charge £6 an hour therefore i would get £12. What do you think about this?
You can do a childcare course at college if that is what you mean.
