Anybody on here know any good books (yes I like to read, loser! )
Katie. "So much more original than any of us. You'd find an old tablecloth on the street and make a dress and next year, sure enough, they would be mass producing them at the Gap. You always said how lucky you were that we were all friends, but it was us, baby, who were the lucky ones."
I think I have read that actually, I can't remember.
I love all of Marian Keyes books. and Gregory Maguire's, although he isn't romantic comedies!

My nan goes to charity shops to get books and she got my mum Katie price second autobiography 3 weeks after it came out on hard back for only £2, try them or second hand book stores but if you don't want to go there you can always pay loads at shops like whsmith. Car boot sales aswel.

Its worth a try there or play. com. They sell books but also depends what your looking for If it was me personally i wouldn't want to spend a fortune on a book as after one read i wouldn't want to read it again for adges. I payed £11 for Cristinao ronaldos book and only read some of it i might have finished it not too sure as i don't really read books but i just looked at the pics of him as i think he is fit lol. but charity shops are good for things like that and if you only paid like £2 for a book not much of a loss if you don't like it.

I've read her first autobiography. Never got round to reading the second one. I'd like to read her fiction books though.

anything by Terry Pratchett simply owns. In particular, I love the Tifanny Aching series (set on the Discworld), The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents (set on Discworld) and from the original Discworld series, anything where the leading roles are occupied by either the Wizards, the Witches or Death. The ones about the Night Watch bore me slightly, but they're amusing still. Also, Pratchett's first ever novel, The Carpet People. It's good if you want a whole new type of adventure a little closer to home.
Then we come onto Anne McCaffrey and her Dragons series. It's fantasy/sci-fi. Set on a planet called Pern where there's the mysterious Red Star and when it passes close enough, roughly every 200 Turns (years) for 50 Turns it drops Thread onto the planet so the dragonriders have to fly to protect the planet from Thread. It's really amazing! Out of the books I've read from the series - all apart from 2 - I recommend Dragonflight, The White Dragon and Moreta Dragonlady of Pern. I'm a sad little person and cried at the end of Moreta, because it's a really sad ending.
I recently came across an author called G. M. Hague, who also writes sci-fi, but it's more horror-based this time. I only have 2 of the 3 books: Ghost Beyond Earth and A Place To Fear. Personally, I prefer Ghost Beyond Earth because it has a more Pagan aspect to it, with the use of magic to capture an evil spirit and that. It's a good read though, really. And if you like aliens then A Place to Fear is definitely the book for you!
If you like vampires (as I do) then you could always look at Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire. It gives a new look on the traditional vampire and has become one of my all-time favourite books.
Also, an American singer/songwriter is writing a book. I don't know if it's out yet or indeed when it is coming out or what it's called, but the singer-turned-author is Emilie Autumn. Her most recent EP has excerpts from the book and I'm really excited about it! Anyways...hope this helps you. ^_^

Laced-unlaced I LOVED anne Rices Vampire series. Read the 3 so many times. Was well disappointed in "The Queen of the Damned" film though. Guy was a hottie though!!
Number one member - I love Seth Macfarlane fan club!
I actually did my English Lit coursework on The Vampire Lestat (my fave one). We had to compare any 2 novels so I did that and compared it to Dracula. Traditional/original VS modern. My teacher was well impressed. I was well chuffed with it.

books i would reccomend are: (these 3 are my favourite)
Dear Nobody The Color Purple Catcher in the Rye
I ♥ movies & getting caught in the rain, just hold back on the pina colada There's nothing more sexy than a time travelling glasses wearing time lord lol
There's nothing that can't be solved with a little rock salt, a gun and Sam & Dean, oh yeah! Fanatical about Torchwood & Jack/Ianto-because stopwatches can be VERY fun!
@ starflake, I've only read Interview with the Vampire but I'm desperate for the other 2. I did part of my English course with it too: my personal study. We were only allowed one book if it was a novel or 2 short stories so I had to define the traditional vampire and show how Anne Rice dispelled it with Louis and Lestat.
I saw the film for the first time fairly recently as well. I was with my boyfriend and I sat and complained the whole way through about how much was changed! But Anne Rice did the script herself so it was obviously ideas she's had since writing the book. It was still ace though and the line stuck in my head from Lestat: 'I'm going to give you the choice I never had.

I hate reading! I've probably never read a full book unless I've been forced to like at school or something. Actually, I have read 2 Hollyoaks books and I have 3. But anyway, reading is so boring Theres too many words and I'm just like -
