Has any graduates had any luck looking for full time jobs?

Sorry to freak you out here but I Finished in July 2006 and only got a job in Jan 2007 despite loads of effort and this job is "casual" and ends in Sept but its given me some office experience. The jobs market is hard but the work does come along - its very rare to get a job for life or long term early on in life.
My plan is to get another position lined up for autumn.
In General terms as well I found that a degree is good to employers but you need "more"- even summer work and part time jobs etc all look good

Im starting to looks for part time things anyway or temp work. There is nothing around me full time.. dw your comment didnt freak me out x lol

I have turned 23 today as well and with myBA earned over a year ago little has changed , after uni had no job or money so came home , and big shock most of my old gang from sixth form are still at home as well doing temp work.
I count my blessings , am healthy good friends and family and decent enough job its not my career but it helps.
Even some graduate schemes look for people with 2 or 3 years work experience after uni so usually you can be 24/5 before they accept you on those4

lmao i have ages to go then, im only 18! Im just looking for something to tie me down for a year or so anyway until I start driving and then I can start driving distances to schools. As I would like to be a teaching assistant.

Ah you are a school/college grad yes? - Well for teaching assistant loads of schools take people on etc - maybe wk experience
a friend of mine has just qualified as a teacher at 22 with his pgce etc and four years at uni - but one thing that helped him was work exp

Thats all I have done for work experience work with children, plus I help take care of my younger brother who's disabled. Yeah I graduated college 2 weeks ago

That is all really good experience deffo , don't get stressed about it though remember what good exp you have and that it will come right in the end - maybe local school might need peeps etc

ive already tried, i have an application form coming in the post from a local playgroup which is only 3 hours a day but its a start!
