Octaviansaw it and thought it was OK. The original is much better though and better made. Octavian can't help but think that it was rushed out just to hit the 6th June and could have done with tightening up a bit. It's a good thing that they've not relied on effects like some films and the suspense is produced via the characters. The kid who plays Damien is too obviously supposed to be evil though, it could have been a bit more subtle.
All in all though,it's not a patch on the original but the British actors are very well cast.
Get the 70s version on DVD.

Octavian loves that fact that you love the way that he talks about himself C.F.B.
Octavian finds that, like a pair of underpants that are just too tight, Octavian was never comfortable when he spoke of himself in the "first person". No matter how much he tried it just never seemed....well....right.
However....now that Octavian exists only in the third person it feels like a comfy pair of slippers it is like you are never alone because it is not just you, you've got yourself as well!

Octavians family still haven't quite got used to it though., but then, like Octavian tells them....they will.
