Has anybody ever done volunteer work in other countries or thought about it? I'd be interested in your views as I am considering doing a 4 or 8 week placement next year doing community work in Goa.

My aunty did volunteer work in romania in the early 90s she found an advert about it in a magazine and applied, maybe you could keep an eye out in magazines. You should also look on the net and its wroth trying somewhere like conexions or the jobcentre as they sometimes advertise for volunteer jobs overseas. As someone said in an earlier post try the careas (sorry i cant spell)advisor in school/college if you go.

Im doing a voluntary SPORT course were im helping my PE teacher go out after school and sometimes during school holidays etc and help her teach primary school kids lol not the same i know but just thought i would say!!
