I have to say that I really liked this episode, and I did'nt really mind that lil bow wow guy as Baern or what ever his name was. But I was pleased to see the Fortress revived because it confused the hell out of me when clark killed it, I was wondering how he would ever become Superman, But its back as is Jor El I presume, and THis I think was one hell of an episode, really liked it.

True True, thats the only and main reason that I am looking foward to Combat so much.

The episode in seattle was pretty good, by the way was the guy who helped clark out the Martian Manhunter?

I doubt it. The phantoms were the only real chance we had of seeing someone strong enough to give Clark a good fight, and with the exception of the one near the end, they were all poor and over too soon

The fight with titan was awesome though. He is the first one to really give clark a run for his money. Also kid I think the martian mahunter is someone who is there to help clark, he could be a former ally of jor el's.

That would be an interesting old alliance if the writers decided to go that way, byut I do not think that the pasths of the Manhunter and the House of El have ever been recorded to have crossed ever before, unless you have heard different cloud???

No I have never heard otherwise. However, there is still the question of why he helps clark. Russian can you tell us if the martian manhunter has any ties to the house of el?

I cannot find any offical links via the comics but i think when martian manhunter returns he explains to clark that he was a confidante of Jor -EL and so is loyal to Kal-El.He policed the phantom zone to keep the unsavoury in however when clark unwittingly released certain phantoms manhunter came to earth and is shall we say keeping clark safe.

Thats what I got from what russian has told us so far, and I have to say that that is a really good way for him to appear on earth, nice back story. Also I found it wierd that after clark saw the manhunter fly and told Chloe, then he said that the manhunter did things thaty he could only dream of when clearly he can do them as we all know and have seen but I hope this just leads to him trying to learn to fly and over come his fear of flying.

Hopefully, hey do you think that once he begins his training he will start to learn to fly. I mean has floated a couple of times and he flew when he was kal el. So maybe he just needs to fully embrace his Kryptoninan destiny like kal el.

I still reckon that the writers might just beable to get rid of the no flight no tights rule for the very last smallville ( in know its sad to think about but ....) yeh I think they will; jsut show an object shooting through the sky and we will all know its calrk, but if what russian said is true and it usually is, then we will neevr see clark fly unless he has his famous tights on.

well i had a thought, they should make a film of smallville so maybe then he could fly then!

I am liking that idea because then there would be wnough money to make a really decent fight, nice one kid.

Over time gough and millar have tried to push the boundries with what they can do with the story ie trying to introduce bruce wayne but it mostly ends up in compromise like 'no tights no flights' but we will let you use supergirl with all her powers so your viewers can see the effect but not through the eyes of superman.Complicated i know but it all seems to be politics.

I really did hate the crap wannabe batman they tried to stick in since they could not get a bruce wayne, you guys remember the stupid "masked Avendure" the girl with the Krypto heart, what a super crap wannabe.

I know she sucked. The justice league guys are much better.
