the only way i would have known if there was another jor-el is if when i chose the name it said already taken, which it didnt obviously or i wouldnt have this name, i did try for kal-el but it was taken.

There is a way to see if he is the real Jor El. Ask him what Clark's biological mother was called, only a few people know that.

clark aka kal-el's biological mother was called lara lor-van. he had 2 brothers, firstly being zor-el father of kara zor-el aka supergirl and a twin brother called nim-el.
