i thought it was a great episode with clark getting put in the phantom zone. also we learn why lex was friends with clark in the first place and it will be interesting how these two meet in the next series. for the people that saw the trailer for this will have seen lex in somesort of thing as he rips it open, this was not in the episode as they cut it, like they did with a jonathan kent scene in reckoning. any ideas on the premiere of series 6.

We learnt why Lex and Clark were friends in the first episode of Smallville, not in the season 5 finale!

I just hope that season 6 starts with Lionel being channeled by Jor-El, and stalking up the Luthor Corp tower followed closely be Chloe, and as Lex/Zod and Lionel/Jor-El square up with Chloe and Lana looking on, the first word that Lex/Zod should say to Lionel/Jor-El is "KNEEL!" This should hopefully set things up for Lionel to be the ultimate father figure for Clark, and thus giving us the reason why he truly hates Clark.

(That's really what Lex/Zod should have said to Clark when they first met)

Not sure why the Lex in cocoon scene was cut, assume it was something from his preparation on the ship. Same for the seem with Brainiac saying "You're too late Kal-El."
