Hi guys,

I was on the internet the other day and found a forum likle thing about Rouths new Super Suit and I was just wondering what all the people on heres views were as it is a very big topic and one that I am sure every one has their own opinions on.

I saw this post that started it all off and I completely disagree with it, just wanted to know what you guys thought.

"On Friday, Warner Bros. unveiled the first look at Brandon Routh in costume as the new Superman [click pic to zoom in], and I've spent a considerable amount of time since then scratching my head in dismay. All in all, I have to say I'm disappointed and confounded by the redesign. First off, the signature "S" insignia has been shrunk into a strange passivity, and is now some sort of weird breastplate badge attached to the suit (rather than an integral part of the suit itself). Plus it's been boldly duplicated into the belt buckle, which takes away from its impact - while also accentuating the now (too) low-cut trunks, which are distractingly Speedo-esque. And while I don't mind the new blue, I really dislike the overly muted deep scarlet, which should be a more vibrant, vital red. And then there's the now-circular collar, which has been severely constrained, with the cape meekly poking out of the sides, rather than flourishing out from across the collarbones.

Unfortunately, the mainstream press - like USA Today - have almost completely failed to notice these changes, but fans on the internet haven't "

Right guys, I have been been browsing again and found that all over the internet people, that is, some people not only have a problem with the new suit but also with Routha and I thought that we nay as well talk about that too. Now personally I thought Routh did a fantastic job and the suit looked better then ever, incredible, loved the design. However I recently found a site on which some one has made slight but clear changes and I think that looks quite good as well, so please tell me what you guys think of these little changes.

This next one guys is one that shows an artist rendering of what welling could look like in the suit and from this version it looks as though he could pull it off so now I am not too sure on where I stand on this one and so i wanted to know what you guys thought again.

I thought that Brandon Routh's Suit was quite upto date with the times although i know its not as good the original but it still looked realy good. I think thats its high time we seen Tom Weilling in one of those suits to really see if he Suits the whole Superman Effect if you know what i mean ?

You forget roro there is the no flights and no tights rule.

I thought the one in superman returns looked good and modern but the update the guy done on it looks good too

I hated the suit to start with, not bright enough, but it grew on me. As for the 'S' being too small it was small in Supermans first drawings.

As for Brandon, I like him though I thought the dialogue he had to work with wasn't 100% top notch, unlike Chris Reeve in Superman 1 & 2

So what does every one think to the links on my above posts, I have to say that I still do not see a single thing wrong with the new Super Suit, I think light blue might have made a ok difference over dark but I can live with that. As for the chest S logo, I thikn that looks really cool and much better then the previous suits one, ok may be it could have been a bit bigger, The leather on the cape was quite good looking I thought, I mean I sort of did hate the fact that it was browm/maroon etc. and think that it could have been red with a gold S on the back but other then that, I did love the sound effects of it when Routh Flew. The boots were good I thought just slightly the wrong colour as even Reeve's boots were quite dark although not that much. And I know there has been a lot of argument about the so called speedo looking new trunks, but if any thing I would have thought that the new ones look less like grand pa pants and suit the suit better.

And finally as for Routh, I thought he did a great job as the big blue guy and filled his boots very well, who cares if he is a couple of inches too short, And for any one who thinks Tom Welling would have made a much better choice, I am still undecided although there may be some thing there. Also is there any one on this forum who tinks that Rouths very lean and slightly less broad figure did not suit superman, because I disagreeed greatly with that. I thought that he looked quite broad in the suit and he appeared very tall on the screen.

I also just recently came across a message on google from a discussion over the new suit saying that Superman should be in light colours to symbolise his American idiolism and apparently according to this guy Batman should be the only Hero in lack or dark colours because they suit him, I personally think that the newer darker suit looked quite good and Superman could pull it off.

What do you guys think?????????????
