Do you think this could mean that ITV 2 will be showing season 6 instead of e4?

Not a hope i am afraid , the deal is already sealed for season six and it will be E4.the deal for itv at the moment is for season 1 and 2 only.

Thanks for that russian. I will try to find out if ITV 2 has done a deal for season 3-5 as well or might do in the near future.

yes i know, i really thought it would be seasons 6 but its not and i watched the episode "freak" on youtube last week and i cant believe Lana & Lex are getting married and Lana is pregnant! That was such a shock Red Face i really want clark and chloe to get together because they both trust each other, tell each other everything and she knows his secret and she might have powers as well which would be sooooo cool and clark does like her because on season 5's last episode and she kissed him a possible goodbye, she said it didnt mean anything thinking that he was thinking the same but he thought it meant something and i was like awwwww poor clark Frown i cant believe i got my hopes up on season 6 on itv2! Mad i was looking forward to i since last week and anyone who thinks smallville is rubbish, well its not, its the best show on t.v so far and clark and chloe are really good actors and give the show a good name so keep it up tom and allison, your both great! xxx

Take it any way you can get it kid.By the way the post written by 'smallville is great'is fancyful but not practical.Let me enlighten you, lana will not marry lex, the unborn child will be a miscarriage, chloe will not become involved with clark neither will lois during the run of smallville. As for lana she will be told by clark about his secret at the very end of the series .How do i know you ask? ,chloe is not part of the original story neither is lana lang with children and according to the story the last act clark performs before he leaves smallvllle for good is to tell lana the secret she suspected he had been keeping all along.

Hey Russian your enlightenment post sounds right on the mark. However, the Smallville wirters have not really stuck to Superman conventiality so far so who knows what they will do.

Thanks mate , i wasn't trying to predict the end all a meant was there has to be a certain story line around which they will end but of course there are no absolutes, what would be the point of seven (or eight) seasons to finish on a pre determined ending. Not sticking to the hard and fast story as you have rightly stated will indeed keep people guessing to the end.

That is it we don't know if the writers will deviate from the Superman story, but I am itching to find out.

Hello leeb74,as far as i am aware itv have the rights to series one and two, this is because E4 have not renewed the screening contract meaning they were up for grabs cheap because the are over five years old.I am guessing that as each series reaches the five year mark E4 will let it go and itv will step in.So as E4 have the rights to series six already i don't think itv are in a position to buy them, therefore it will be six years from now before itv get their hands on all six series, sorry.

So Itv2 will have to wait quite a while before they get their hands on season 5.

well they are looking for ratings-it seem when they aired season 4 on monday's 9pm it didn't get high rating unlike OC so it favour it more

I know, but I suppose more people watch the OC than Smallville.

The smallville storyboard is actually following an alternative path for Clark/Superman. When the series was decided to be set in 'modern day' it was also decided that Clark would make different decisons on his life path. Hence, the difference to the films/orignal story.
