No some one said that her ship was supposed tohave been daaged and that puts her in suspended animation for about 18 years or however old clark is right now, its some whre above, oh yeh and kypton was light yeas away from earth so they would have had to sent both Superman and girl in space ships to get them there safey and in good time, it just fits in with the whole back story and so on.

Hey guys, can some one help me out here, does any one actually have an idea of what supergirls powers usually intail besides the obvious same ones as superman, but she is supposed to have some additions beyond flight in smallvilleas well I think.

hey i looked on the net on info about supergirl and i didnt find any other powers she has that superman doesnt. she has all the same powers and got all the weakness that superman has.

and i wonder why Jol-el didnt tell clark about kara?!

Hey Yeh there was only one message recorded wasnt it by Jor El, " this is Kal El, the last so of krypton, please take care ofhi and deliver him from evil" etc. No mention of Kara at all. Also kid apparently there have been many versions of supergirl and they all have different powers such as Psi blasts and turning invisible, its quite strange and it has a lot to do with clones and other dimensions of her but Over all Yes I think she is the same essentially as Superman and smallville will perhaps give her some extra powers of her counter parts in the past media. For example the power Jor El gave to that girl who he gave powers to in the season 3 finale when she destroyed the car adn that dirty cop in it by like corroding them away or some thing, thta was copl I wonder if Kara will have those sorts of powers, and she is supposed to be able to heal people as well I read in another dimension of her self.

on the jor-el thing.why did he never mention to clark about her in one of the many times he was at the fortress of solitude? never even a "how is your cousin doing",she looking after you.

she might even know who the actual phantom is, seeing as she was 16 when she left.

Kara doesn't have to be under a yellow sun to have her powers as she has a sunstone in her that's meant to stop her being inhabited by phantoms. I kind of feel sorry for Bizzaro... he doesn't really stand a chane whe you look at it- he's got Clark, Supergirl and the Martian Manhunter just waiting to kick his ass, along with the Green Arrow, Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg waiting in back up!

LOL I dont think there would be much the green arrow could do about any phantom much lol jonny. Also whats this about kara not having to be under a yellow sun??? and a SUNSTONE??????

I know also jonny wasn't clark able to resist being inhabited by zod? Although that could be down to jor-el's will being strong in him.

POWERS

Supergirl has recently exhibited new powers, manifesting sunstone crystals from her body; so far she has only done so while under great stress. (For example, when Cassandra Cain was trying to kill her.) Supergirl's father implanted the crystals within his daughter's body to protect her from malevolent beings from the Phantom Zone. The Zone-dwellers were released when Jor-El made the Phantom Zone Projector and exploited the Zone as a prison. Kara's father, believing that Kal-El is a lure to the Zone-dwellers, has instructed Kara to destroy him.

Due to experiments performed by her father, this version of Supergirl has had a small amount of sunstones implanted in her body which seem to appear when she is under red-sun light. They allow her to maintain super-powers under the red sun, as well as free those who are possessed by Phantom Zone ghosts.

Don't you think this could have come in handy in series 6? I Like how she managed to 'sleep' all the way through that. She might be Kryptonian but she's stil a typical bloody woman! Lol Anyway suppose this still might be useful with Bizzaro

Hey there bound to picl some one fit to play the role of Super girl it would be so sick if Jessica Alba did it and I know she is too old to ply thepart but damn is she fine lol, and she kicked ass in Dark Angel as Max, only reason I ever watched that show lol.

Yeah the only thing keeping me sane until august is brand new scrubs on e4 on thursdays. Why oh why did they have to put big bloody brother on now. I mean it is old news now it has been done so many times, it is overkill.
