Why have E4 suddenly stopped showing Smallville in the middle of Season 5? Big Brother is being shown instead! Come on, E4, Big Brother is rubbish - and seeing as they have most of the day, surely an hour can be spared for Smallville. It is not right to just stop mid-season to make room for Big Brother. I would not mind if it was re-timed, even to the middle of the night as I can record it, but to stop showing it entirely is not right. What do others think?
I know it sucks. I think it is becasue more people want to watch crappy celebrity big brother instead of the amazing Smallville. I don't know why, but people are weird like that.

I mean, during the night, everyone in the Big Brother house is asleep and nothing happens, just people sleeping, so why not take an hour out from the middle of the night to show Smallville - it's not ideal for some people, but it's better than not showing it at all! The time doesn't bother me as I have Sky+.
The thing that gets me, though, more than anything else, is that you simply DON'T stop showing something like this, that you can really get into, slap bang in the middle of the season, disappointing so many viewers! Do E4 not know that it's bad play to do this?
This is so typical of E4 over the last two years,they lose lost if you see what i mean and have either lost the right to show season six of smallville in january or are not willing to pay the going rate.In the meantime we have to endure rubbish like celeb bb and ugly betty.Out of all the programes E4 take for it's winter shed smallville is the only one that has not returned.Doing some research i have found out E4 have no plans to show season six until the summer at the earliest,given the fact that the usual slot for smallville , monday's at 9pm have been filled with repeats of wifeswap i find this unacceptable and would like to give the person responsible a piece of my mind .Anybody feelthe same way?.
You cannot compare what's happened to Smallville with what's happened to Lost, because at least Lost is still on! Smallville is not being shown at all, but Lost is on Sky One, so at least fans of Lost can still watch it. Us Smallville fans don't get it on any channel for the time being! Also, Lost didn't get stopped mid-season, it simply moved channels between seasons, but Smallville was simply stopped bang in the middle of the season, and not moved to any other channel!
I agree Smallville kicks Ugly Betty and BB's ass. Why not get rid of wife swap and continue showing season 5. E4 has managed to find enough money to buy that peice of Crap Ugly Betty, when the money could have been better spent on getting Smallville season 6. I want to see if Clark and Chloe get closer, damn it!

I was'nt comparing the circumstances between lost and smallville ,the point i was trying to make was E4's appathy in both holding on to lost and their apparent reluctance to pay the going rate to show smallville.It seems to me E4 are happy for people to turn off in large numbers as long as money is not spent and books balance.
