Just finished watching this one. Not bad, as essentially a FOW of the week filler episode, standing out from the rest as it was Tom Wellings directorial debut, and Lex and Lana finally got it on so to speak.

While the glass shattering story wasn't the strongest, I liked the parallels that were drawn with Clark being an oprhan, and how being someone's child doesn't mean you have to be like them and fulfill their destiny. This all tied in well with Clark and Jor-El and to a lesser extent Lionel and Lex. Lots of father son links with Lionel seemingly to become more of a father to Clark than he ever was to Lex for various reasons, but a total lack of John Glover in this episode was a big thumbs down for me.

Also laughed at Lexs dig at Chloe never having a boyfriend, seems to have halted any lingering ideas that they may get together as a couple. I hope that they don't pursue what was implied, as it would just seem pointless and gratitious.

Also, mention of a ProjectMRC that Lex is pursuing that is all tied into Milton Fine. Interestingly it seems Lex is not being as honest with Lana as he says he is. Incidentally, if you go to

www.aol.com/smallville

you can see the blog that Lex was looking at, and it gives some further details on Project Mrc and Lex's relationship/investigation of Fine.

Can't wait for next week, a Lionel episode at last, and hopefully Lionel calling Clark but not by Clark in the clip I saw online somewhere a couple of weeks ago. Not overly sure what sort of tests that Lionel will go through, but hopefully the end will bring out some sort of development in the Lionel/Martha affair and some light will be shedded on Lionel and Clarks future relationship.

Can't believe that only 4 episodes left of this season, which I think is a sign of how good it is. Apart from Aquaman, not 1 episode sticks out as being below average in the whole season. May season 6 deliver to such a high standard as well.

im glad you really enjoy it and its nice how we arent all saying how crap it is like last year. although we are all too much about lana bashing and licking lex's head - god help anyone new who looks in here they will run a mile.

we need to start having some adult conversations about smallville. looking forward to a lionel episode - why is he so bothered about martha????

Hello!!!

I enjoyed this episode, I like watching the way Clarke is with Maddie (and other kids too), because it kinda feels like he learnt how to do it so well because of Jonathon, I think that's sweet. And for Christ's sakes every time they mention how Jonathon would be proud blah blah blah I nearly burst into tears. I still can't believe they killed him off.

However, there was one thing that stood out for me and was bugging me throughout the entire episode - the girl who plays Maddie could be Emma Watson's (aka Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter movies) twin sister. It was so freaky how she looked exactly like her!!! Did anyone else notice this or is it just me?!

hate to be the one to burst the bubble but this episode was pure and utter crap. Season 4 standard-terrible.

What started off as a good season has slowed down into a run of average episodes at best, starting with Cyborg.

Then there was the terrible "Hypnotic" followed by the even worse "Void". Sure there were some small scenes in both episodes that were very good (Clarks seeing Jonaton in the after life,Lex seeing his mother),but those do not make an episode good when the other 90% of it has been crap. Lana becomes and severe junkie over night and then is suddenly ok afterwards-ye,whatever.

And then this glass episode. The bad acting and dialogue is at times just painful. Why oh why does the stupid women continue to look at the mirror when she must know it will shatter, then she screams for 5 minutes instead of getting out of the way. I find it interesting that child actors seem to always out-act Tom Welling. The most notable being Ryan, and in this one Maddie wasn't even a great kid actor, but she still did better. And why suddenly are there windows hanging from the roof in the Kent barn?? What was that about?

Ever since the average 100th episode it has gone down hill for me,lets hope it will get better with the Lional and hopefully prof Fine storylines coming up. Anything with Lional is usually good.

also next weeks episodes seems like a rip-off of "Saw",while the week before last was a rip-off of "Flatliners". Can they come up with anything themselves?

They can shatter glass because the Dad was standing in a stained glass window shop when the meteor strike happened? Errrrrrr............right, so would somebody who was standing in a bakery suddenly be able to explode donuts? Where on Earth do they get these ideas? And more importantly, why don't they just do away with the FOW characters and concentrate on the things we actually want to see?

And why has Lois suddenly become so stupid? Last season she was smart-ish, this season she's become one of the thickest characters on the show Confused

"What kind of person would commit such a brutal crime?"

I cringed at that line Roll Eyes

I also liked Clarks 'Sid the Dummy' impersonation when he was talking to Chloe, it's like he has somebody behind him with their hand up his ..... to help him with his facial expressions Confused

Are you confused as you didn't get the joke or just didn't find it funny? I honestly have no real desire to be referred to as an ambassador. Honest.

Alas no. Krekk wrote "Oh Gar..With all this great info you're really spoiling me us..." The old Ferroro Rocher adverts had the line "Ambassador, we've these Ferroro Rochers you're really spoiling us."

Pisspoor I know, I'll get my coat.

Oh yes I'm with you now Krekk. Sorry I thought we weren't meant to speak about THAT publically. It was part of the deal we made when you said you wouldn't tell anyone about my bizarre wishes with the Sheriff... Oh dear, I've put my foot in it now!
