Smallville's also much more about drama and storylines than Lois & Clark was! A Superman series with the Smalllville team would be much better than L&C

The writers have stated many times they will end at 7. An eight season would be stupid without Lex, as it would pretty much just be Clark v Meteor freaks, which we had for the first 4.5 seasons

Lex ain't the only bad guy out there - there's a whole box full of loons just itching to give Supes the run-around!Maybe Lex's nasty tricks could catch up with him and result in a spell 'inside'. This would have him out of the picture but still leave him free to return when his character was required. It wouldn't be the first ime we've seen him in the clink.

I liked it better when it was about the meteor freaks and stuff, like when they were back in school

My favourite one was the one where the cheerleaders put stuff in the football players water so they would do what they wanted and Chloe got infected and got into a cheerleader outfit and did all these cheers for Clark! Loved that episode

if all of those characters that sunoit said are leaving then there wont be many characters in smallville, i think that smallville is better with everyone in it and for them to keep going with just clark and lois..and his mom

IMO its better to go out with a bang than to drag the show downhill till no one watches it anymore

Smallville News From France!
Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and "Lex Luthor" Michael Rosenbaum are currently in Paris, France at the 2007 Jules Verne Fesitval. The show is being honored and spotlighted yet again this year.

At the Festival, the show creators have been interviewed and some interesting revelations have come out. Among them:

Tom Welling is signed with the show through an 8th season. It sounds like the producers want the show to ultimately go for eight years, and end it there.
Michael Rosenbaum's contract ends with Season 7, so if there is an eighth year, it will be Clark vs. other villains. However, Michael COULD guest star.
Aaron Ashmore will be back as Jimmy in Season 7. It sounds like he could have a 13-episode contract, though we don't think it was confirmed.
Justin Hartley (Green Arrow) won't be back next year as he is attached to another project.

ok from that that confirm if smallville does contiue after season 7-they will no lex story-line whatsoever so that mean we might visit other enemies

Yeh I think that would be good as it could be like the final test of Jor Els or some thing to prepear clark for the ultimate baddies he will face.

If there is a season 8 then the only ones left will probably be clark and lois

Yeh the new adventures again with may be soem special guests form teh old series and much more updated with graphics etc.

I doubt that they can take it much further than season 7 though because after that clark wil probably move to metropolis and it will stop being smallville.

How old will he be by then, and at what age does he move does any one know.
