Lex's entire obsession with Julian - his DEAD brother - over the years is supposed to be one of the reasons why he is so messed up. Now, 7 years in, they introduce the most wooden actor in the world to come in and play a newspaper reporter who seems to be protecting the Luthors.
The reason for why he is he protecting them?
Simple.
He is Julian.
Yes, THAT Julian.
The DEAD son/brother.
And these people think they deserve more money????
There was NO chemistry between Clark and Lara. There was NO chemistry between Kara and Zor-El. There was NO chemsitry between Lois and 'Slappy'. There was NO - aside from Clark punching Zor-El through a window, despite there being no explanation as to how Clark knew where to find him - proper action, which was stupid considering there were 4 Kryptonians on screen. This Gabriel/Julian situation is pathetic, whether he is a clone or not.
Everything so far this season has been building up to this episode, and in 42 minutes they blow it......the same way they always do. Kara has joined the over-long list of amnesia victims, and now Clark is about to get a Krypto-Spanking. I don't care.
I liked the episode it was full of great twists, i never saw the Julian storyline coming and i cant wait to see how it mixes things up. Lionel's meant to have changed his ways but now it's emerged that he faked the murder of his son and secretly put him up for adoption! I'd like to see how that will go down with Clark btw i thought Lionel was brilliant this episode, even though he was only in one scene. They never fail us those Luthors! There was also a new type of Kryptonite!Blue!! It strips away all Clark's powers without weakening him and makes him human! It's use could be really interesting in future episodes...Clark's always had a feeling of being alone and different, now there's the possibility that he can simply change all that and become human indefinately, like in season 5 or how he became Kal in season 2/3 - could be good to see!Lana it appears is now genuinely trying to change and does really love Clark, though we know that things can't always be that simple and there's inevitably going to be a struggle with her tormented feelings. It's going to be interesting to see what will happen to Kara now that her character has been stripped back to its roots. I reckon now that Brianiac's back on the scene he might get to her before Clark does and manipulate her into acting out his evil deeds!The Swine!
By the way those of you who haven't seen season 7, don't be all doom and gloom about it because i know that there seems to be a few people on the forum that aren't enjoying it. If you haven't noticed i think it's been ace and there's a lot of people on other forums who feel similar. So still look forward to seeing it and see what yout think for yourselves is all I'd say
believe you me jonny, I have almost just finished watching lara and I think has been brilliant so far, its had almost everything, and for those of you who may have thought that lex has turned good, there is still a surprise for you guys do not fear, kara is so peng, and her character is wicked. cCloud and kid especailly I know you two will not be dissapointed by season seven and the rest of six for that matter, althought I now seeing it did find noir a bit confusing but more on that latter, season 7 is awesome so far.

We know what will happen with Kara. Either Lex will find her or someone else - a villain - will find her and use her powers for their evil schemes.
I'm thinking Clark's punishment will be the release of Bizarro. Because he defied Jor-El again he will have to try and save his friends without his powers.........maybe? I dunno......Jor-El is rather twisted.....hmmmmmm.
Why didn't he speak during the 'super-powered battle' between the 4 Kryptonians? He didn't even say hello to his wife FFS
And where exactly was the 'super-powered battle' that we were promised?
I think this julian is a clone of lex's making ,how else do you explain the age difference.Next ep not until dec 13th (gemini) another xmas ep and guess what ? ,lex gets shot at xmas again.Come on writers a little more originality please.
here appearas to be a lot of shooting, going on in the later stages of season 7, I guess I will see it momenetarily then, and it better be for a damn good reason this time, I dont want to be seeing damn Lillian again being boring and trying to prevent Lex becoming what he was destined to be, an evil little, yet very rich and powerful s*d.

I just finished watching blue, and really am in sort of two minds about it, I mean it just came so fast, Zor El, Lara, I like the introdutcion of blue K, nad like you Jonny, never saw the howle Julian revelaton coming. I think Lionel is still good at this point and must have put up Julian for adoption when he was pure evil, also I found it joke that ever since he found out about clarks secret, if it is not clark or some other kryptonian, then he is always getting his as* kicked by some one and it is always to do with clark, I thought that was joke, I did like the punch through the window as well. I thought lana's role of the nervous girlfriend meeting the mum was a bit pointless to the story, and it seemed to me that lara had the ability to sense evil in lana, hmmm????? As for Kara, I do not think that she has lost her powers, but I am a bit iffy on the whole amnesia thing, how many times has it been done really? But other then that I guess it was OK.
5 out of ten, may be six for the ambiguous ending.

I think your right about that whole Kara angle ninjy, that makes sense from how they writers have planned this one out and think it may just happen. Clark's punishment, hmmm? ??? what to make of that, cant wait to see what it is, I like the idea of Bizarro being released again because clark has to be so consistently stupid and defy Jor El.
And as for Jor El not speaking to his wife ninjy, I to thought that that was strange but then may be the explanation is because he was incapacitated by the blue crystal. Well thats one less crystal in smallville again, Bring on the Super Tights Destiny.

Did any one else find it annoyingly stupid that lara appeared not to have any powers and that somehow kara seemed as weak as a bloody kitten compared to her father, it cant be the fact that Zor El was stronger as he was a fully grown man, because Kara managed to beat the hell out of clark before. What is the explanation behind that?
