Hi Folks new Smallville fan!!! here I was wondering if you guys could give me any information to help me undersand the show better.A little bit about the characters too. Thank you for takeing the time out to read this post.

Telling you everything could take a while! how much do you know about it first?

I have seen a few episodes, so its to really bring me upto date really. Um could you tell me a bit more about Lex that would be fab. thank you

Righttt, i'll probably get a lot of this wrong but some can correct me if i am

Lex has been fascinated with Clark ever since he saved him from that car crash and he's had like loads of people research into his life. But Clark and Lex have had an on/off friendship for ages and since Lana and Clark broke up Lana got together with Lex and now they are getting married and having a baby so it's obvious the friendship is completly over.

Lionel is Lex's dad who you never really know if he's evil or not he was with Lex at the beginning but then got some crazy powers and could comunicate with Jor-el (Clark's biological father) and then he knew Clark's secret and up until now he seems to have kept it. Now he's trying to get with Martha, Clark's mum ever since Jonathon died.

Martha has just always been there for Clark, not really one of the main characters.

Clark, well he's always fighting off the meteor freaks with Chloe his best friend. He always saves people's lifes a lot fo the time it's Lana but he never could tell her the truth about him, but Chloe knows the truth, not because he told her, but because she got shown by Alisha (she was only in it for a few episodes) him stopping a car going at full speed and then following him to that big ice thing (forgot what it's called) and saw him talking to Jor-el and then he had to tell her. Clark can't be near green Kryptonite because it hurts him or something.

Chloe is the reporter who is like a whizz with computers and always has a plan to help out Clark.

Lana is the one Clark loves and always has but is now with Lex and she's getting closer to finding out his secret. She's had an eventful past with all the stuff happening with the witch coming back to life in her body (my favourtite season ) but she's getting a bit boring in the latest season.

Lois is Chloe's cousin, she's a reporter now aswell she had a bit a thing with the Green arrow (only in it for about 6 episodes, i think) she's really sarcastic and always has something to say to Clark and she recently had a fling with Clark, but only because of red K (which makes Clark a bit crazy! he's actually really mean when he's infected with that!)


Can't think of much more, but hope that's a start for you, if you want to know anything else just ask

Hi and welcome Smallville_ girl. To clear it up for you and Nicola the big ice thing Chloe follows Clark to is the Fortress of Solitude. By the way Smallville girl, there are other kinds of krpytonite. I shall fill you in; green kryptonite affects Clark physicaly, red k makes Clark lose his inhebitions with some interesting consequences, silver k makes Clark paranoid by the way watch the epsiode in season 5 that involves silver k can't remeber the name but it rocks, and finnally there is black k which can split Clark into the mild mannered Clark Kent and his alter ego Kal El, who can fly. By the way Nicola you missed out a load of stuff about Zod and the zone.

I missed out a lot of stuff, but it would have took a long time writing everything from a whole 6 seasons, but feel free to go ahead and do that if you want

By the way about Zod, and please any one correct me if am wrong, he was the one who destroyed Krypton, however his physical form was destroyed and his essence was trapped in the Phantom Zone by Jor El, who also created the Phantom Zone. This why when Zod wanted to escape he needed a vessel.

Acually zod didn't destroy krypton.Zod was caught trying to seize control of krypton and was convicted by the elder council ,which included jor-El and banished to the phantom zone for eternity.
At the same meeting jor-El tells the elders that seismic disturbances within the planet are the harbingers of the ultimate destruction of the planet and tells the elders that a worldwide evacuation is needed.The elders fear the unknown and tell jor-El not to spread rumours that could unbalance the planet,they also tell jor-El not to leave the planet as this would be seen as an admission of guilt.jor-El give his assurance that nor he or his wife,laura will leave, however he makes no such promise about his son Kal-El whom he sends to earth to escape the doomed planet.

Alright guys,well my friend it is a good question,without digging old episodes out i would have to say the one piece of the ship that was detatchable was the kryptonian key,and the first time Jor-El spoke to clark was when the ship was activated with that key.The key was then placed in a slot in the cave and the cave became the mouthpiece for Jor-El and when clark had united the three elements he placed the key in the slot on the table with the kryptonian symbols which transported him to the location of the fortress he then created the fortress with the single crystal and the replica of his home on krypton was born complete with his fathers thought's and guidance.

Ah so the key acts as some sort storage devive for Jor-El's will or spirit. And when the key was put in the cave wall it some how downloaded it into the cave and then later the crystal that spawned the fortress.
