*Spoilers, so don't read if you don't want to know whats happened



I've just downloaded and watched the 1st episode of season 6. I gota say it had some good action and some good stuff in it, but I am dissapointed that the story wasn't dragged over a couple episodes (altho it might have I didnt time it, lol).

I felt it could have easily been over 2/3 episodes, clarke came back too quickly and also defeated zod too quickly.

The things that happened will mean most of the season (if not all of it) will be based on whats just happened and there's a lot.


When clarke came back, he brought along with him a few more creatures and maybe also other kryptonians from the phantom zone. I guess he will be facing all of them and we won't know who they are that quick, they might reveal them every now and again.

Lionel said he didn't feel Jor El's presence, until the end when he was feeling it again, unless it was zod's presence??

Also I'm sure Zod has left some things behind that will mean he could be back, whether its him or a power he has left behind?? as lex will no doubt find the remainings (like he began to do) of what zod left.



Hurry up and watch it, lol.

Smallville always rushes! The've never heard of cliffhangers! Like last season with the 100th episode, would have been much better if the episode had finished with Lana gone, but hey.

For a season premiere it was quite good. Lines drawn it seems for character relations, Lana and Lex, Lois and Clark, Chloe and Jimmy, and Martha and Lionel (still the best character in the show.)

The Phantom Zone was quite good, but again Clark escaped peril too easily and quickly. I think the creature at the end was Raya, but could be wrong. Non or Ursa would be much better, with their real hatred of Clark, and possible fascination and corruption of Lex

Alas no heir for Zod it seems, but glad he's out of Lex cos the vessel idea didn't really appeal to me. No Brainiac either, which was a bit of a shame.

Not sure why the fortress is dead, or why it was all red during the crisis. Surely with Jor-El's power and spirit it would be immune? Whether Lionel is consumed by Jor-El I'm not sure, no real explanation of how it happened, but he can translate Krytonian meaning he'll be a good back up for Clark if neccesary.

All in all quite good, but too rushed again. Gough and Millar, stretch out the good episodes like this to 2 weeks, then you won't have to make all the crappy mid season fillers as usual! (think Thirst)

Ah man i want to see this ep SO badly, i went out and bought all 5 seasons a few months ago and after watching them all i am DYING to see this one, anyone mind telling me where they downloaded it, or maybe PM it to me if we are not aloud to talk about it here, then again i dont think you can PM can you ?

I used a bittorrent and found it, and man i that was one amazing episode, i just finished watching it and then i had to go back through it just to see that fight scene again, i cant wait to get season 6 next year

it was a good episode it just it seem a bit rushed for the premire episode but still special effect were brillant and how often do you see lex fly into the sky-yes it was zod who actually did that but still i thought it brillant.

Rushed as usual! Liked how when Zod was released from Lex, his image was made upto look like Terence Stamp from Superman II also.

Just waiting for the little black box not to track those alpha waves..........

I hate the way the writers rush the good storylines, they should know after 5 series that most fans HATE the filler episodes! Thirst, Ageless etc are hated by almost everyone, but still they rush the potential 2-parters to make room for the inevitable crap that will follow

The more I think about this episode the less I like it. We waited all summer expecting to see Zod and Clark come to blows in a big way, and also to see Zod come close to taking over Earth. All we got was Zod pinning Lana to the wall - which ANYONE could, and probably wants to, have done. Aside from that and a bit of flying he was basically just Lex. Power hungry and arrogant

the other thread isn't for people who've seen it, its for people waiting to see it and other discussions, so no point putting whats happened in there, when people who haven't seen it, will stil be reading it.


anyway, we all agree it should have been longer, but I don't think its the last time we hear from zod, there'll be something left over anyway....



but I gota say the potential of what smallville could have been as show hasn't been reached by the current writer/s.

are we supposed to not notice that jimmy olsen looks like a clone of eric sommers from the first series (leech - the guy who took calrks powers) who was also in asylum.

I think the writers have given the characters amnesia so many times that they assume we have it as well

When Clark escapes that planet i think he brings some demons with him to earth i think they were two or three so he'll probably be fighting them in next ep2 series 6. They fly really fast so theyll take some beating.

Wat is Jimmy Olsen doing? He was a suprise. I dont believe he gonna b an item with Chloe yak!

If you watch the scene where Clark returns to Earth, you can count the number escaping the PZ with him, 6 I think. They look like shooting stars.

yes-it was a good episode-i always love excellent special-effect in premire episodes it kind of shame that it can't be like this for every episode-am impressed how this show lasted 6 season seriously i honestly didn't it would go past 5 season.

I feel only thing writer can do linoel give him link to Jor-el which pointless role for the actor. i would rather concentrate main chacter kill Lionel off.

Yes but Lionel is the best character in the show! He is the hinge for why Clark and Lex will ultimately hate each other!

Lex has always been jealous of Clark due to his strong family and upbringing, and resents him now for it. The fact that with Lionel and Martha becoming closer, and Lionel knowing about Clark and replacing Jonathan as a father figurem is ingenious. He's teaching Clark that he can't save everyone, and what is important is the big picture, such as when he suggested Lex must be stopped for the greather good.
