I thought that was the best opener to a season by a long way. Clark losing his powers was a great switch which I never saw coming. Even the credits were better. Lana even acquired a brain.
yeah i was shocked it didnt make me laugh all. aprt from lanas dont hurt me comment. she was already hurt she probs wouldnt have even noticed a bit more.

That wasn't Zod.

I already saw so I didn't bother watching it again but yeah it worked well. Seeing as I haven't downloaded any episodes since Arrival, I'll look forward to some and dread others (Thirst, Exposed).

I bought a freeview box last week, just so I could watch Smallville in time for the start of the new season...
It's still not working!!!! Grrrrr!!!
Damn my weak signal. Damn it all to Hell!!!
I've been out today and got a signal booster and a length of coaxial cable, so I WILL have it for next week! (Luckily my Brother has Sky+'d monday's - Phew!)
i watch it on e4 on mondays as the catch up episode is always cut - same with invasion when they showed the episode on c4 i noticed it had been cut. or it could be me unable to keep my eyes open for long enough - lol
When the episodes are screened at 9pm, I'm about 99% sure that they are NOT cut from the original. When shown on Sunday, when it airs at 7pm? I think, some scenes are cut due to watershed rules. This is true for when the seasons have been rescreened in the past, i.e. when they are shown at 3pm and 6pm during the weekdays.

I sort of agree. Admittedly the bad guys were a little lame, but the overall story was quite good. The idea of Lex 'testing' Clark was cool, and their fight scene at the end and subsequent arguement shows their friendship is definately on the wane. Lex's shock at Clark bleeding and being hurt was a sight to behold. Clark and Chloe now also have proof of the existence of Level 3. I thought it may have been better if the BelleReve link with Clark had been built on a bit more, and a few more questions asked by Lana in that respect.
Still, 2 episodes in and no terrible episodes yet. There are some that follow though!
