I love Tom, Smallville wouldn't be the same without him... but NO!
He's a great Clark Kent... I dunno what he'd be like as Superman.

Michael Rosenbaum is a better Lex Luthor than Tom Welling is a Clark Kent, so if you were to have 1 of them in the Superman flm you would pretty much need both of them, which would then make it a Smallville movie

I can never decide whether he is a rubbish actor, or if he just plays the part of Clarke very well ie. by being a bit dumb sometimes.
It will be weird seeing someone else play Clarke/Superman though.

I think the fact that his acting is questionable at best actually works quite well. He's isn't human after all he is a Krptonian. How do we know that Kryptonian's aren't all emotionally retarded.

I think Tom's an OK actor. He must be or I wouldn't watch Smallville. If someone can't act, I find it really hard to get into a programme...

Tom is the best superman ever.. but I voted no because hes too young hes still learning.
Superman returns has to be very experienced so needs a lot older actor.
I would like to see him make a Superman film in the future probably still set as a prequal to Christopher Reeves.

i think tom welling would be ok, but not as gd as routh or reeves was. plus he wouldnt be too young as he is older than brandon routh. and he is older than reeves was when he played the part.

No, but Michael should have been. He's a far better Lex Luthor than Tom Welling is a Clark Kent, his character actually has several dimensions. Not to mention he is very good looking  That that don't kill me can only make me stronger. Support Lex Luthor. Even bad guys need a break sometimes  |
