They originaly said 'No flights and tights' and we've sort of seen Clark fly, so does anyone think we might see him don the famous tights and cape? If so, do you think it would be like the Superman Returns suit or something a bit new? I think we're creeping towards it, with the iconic 'S' cropping up in Zod
We also saw the S burned into Clark's chest just before he ran away to Metropolis. There is also the fact that recently Jor-El has been trying to get Clark to save rather than conquer the planet.

I don't see the flying and tights thing happening in smallville ,gough and millar have always stated that fact, besides in the superman story clark does not start wearing the suit until he goes to live in metropolis after his parents have died,that is when he decides he needs a secret identity.
What, parents plural? Their not going to kill of Martha as well are they? Clark would be deverstated if she died. Who would he turn to for advice Jor-El or maybe Lionel?

In the superman legend clark's mother does die eventually but it will not happen during smallville,the martha character lives to a ripe old age so that happening is well into the future.
In richard's donner's superman, doesn't martha die before clark leaves for metropolis? I don't think there's a set time for Martha's death, from what ive seen it tends to vary. I hope they don't go there in Smallville though, it works well with Martha in it.
Like I said earlier, getting rid of Martha in Smallville would deverstate Clark. He would become even moodier and probably become more withdrawn. What would he do turn to Lionel, which seems like the obvious choice as Lionel is starting to rember the messages Jor-El sent him. Or Clark could become Kal-el and be the son Jor-El so desperatly wants he to be.

Sorry cloud however that symbol that jor el burnt into clarks chest was like an 8 symbol in the penagon of the S and also i think it was the sme symbol that meant CRUSAD - ALSO A SICK EPISODE
