Kristin Kreuk has also hinted that season 7 will be her last and it is rumoured that Allison Mack will also call it a day. Can Smallville have an 8th Season without Lex, Lana and Chloe?

They would probably stop after season 7 as I can't see them being able to extend the story line further than that without moving Clark to Metropolis, however then it would stop being Smallville.

So if tom welling and erica durrance are the one's with contracts beyond seven season's maybe you are looking at a lois and clark type series.But then al gough has stated they can't pursue the lois and clark romance in smallville because the superman movies have the rights to that part of the story.

yeh and i think they are to young to get together yeh cos in the film and other stuff they was and their late twenties when they got together

The thing is can Clark have children with a human, I know he has a son in Superman returns, but as you know Smallville mythology is quite differnt to the regular Superman mytology? Also if Clark and Lois ever got married there would be a problem as Clark is immortal.

Maybe they should do what dc comic's did for fifty years and ignore the romance and tell the tale of superman's exploits instead.

Sorry to be the bring of more bad news, but it would seem that there is another name to add to the ever growing list of people departing Smallville. John Glover (Lionel) has just been handed a leading role in a broadway show meaning he would have no time to shoot Smallville anymore. If this is true, he would leave Smallville at the end of Season 6. Will Lex finally kill Lionel?

Not Lionel too, Smallville won't be worth watching is both he and Lex go, can't say I would miss Lana though.

A word about john glover and his stage role,ck1986 says because of time constraints there will be no time for jg to film therefore will lex finally kill lionel?.Possibly the title of 'EPISODE 19' 'NEMISIS' is a good indicator.

ABSOLUTELY GUTTED, i cant believe what im hearing, i mean i knew the show couldnt last for ever but good god, its all happening well fast. too fast if you ask me. and season 6 hasnt even started for me yet.
