There are four levels of tarrif a british tv company has to pay an american distributor for their shows .Level one is the highest priced and this allows the tv company to show the show at the same time as their usa counterparts ie sky one and 'lost'.Level two means the tv company can show the series three months after the run starts in the usa, this up until season six is what E4 paid to show smallville.Level three is rights to show the show twelve months after it has aired and completed in the states, this is what E4 have done for season six.Level four is good old chuck away repeats when everyone else has finished with them.So as you can see leeb74 E4 have down graded smallville on their air list ,although they will not admit it and itv will not pay the top price for a series that probably in their opinion is coming to a close next year. All in all we fans are stuck with the present situation.
Being nosey i suppose, and a bit of a legal freak,in this case i just wanted to know why the goal posts had been moved in relation to season six.I found the names of certain chief executives at certain companies and bombarded them with questions, the above is just one answer.
Ha ha Russian comes through again. Nice going man. I was wondering why E4 have been so late in their airing of season 6 they probably priortised the funds for Ugly Betty, damn them.

Yep, by the way do you think the reason Itv 2 has managed to find the funds for seasons 1-3 is down to the stake Rupert Murdoch's BSKYB aquired in Itv?
