Actually I was looking into that only yesterday (before you mentioned it). I'll check it out I think, is it better than Spirited Away? (the only film in that genre Ive seen).

Can a bird sing, does a drunk fart like it's going out of fashion??? YES, OF COURSE IT IS!!! It's very girly, feel-good stuff. I wish I had it on DVD so it's on hand to cheer me up when I need it.

Spirited Away was good but I was a bit freaked out by that weird spirit that went mad and starting gobbling everything - That scene was V. weird.

Go check My Neighbour Toturo out Jesbo, it's a lovely, lovely film Smile

In the same genre, how about Princess Mononoke? I have heard it's a bit violent - is it suitable for a 9 year old?

Ain't seen that - I'd like too though. You know what I mean; It's the tender side to all that manga - Not that I would ever diss manga, I'm a girl but manga with all the violence and gangster/assasin stories were uber cool. C4 I HOPE YOU'RE LISTENING!! WE WANT MANGA BACK! Cool

I think Princess Mononoke is fantastic - it may have violence but it's got very important anti-industrialisation themes etc. that makes it kind of fluffy at heart. While kicking some ass at the same time - the perfect balance.
And great music.

The 7 faces of Dr. Lao- oriental magic,Harryhausen type monsters and western
adventure. A criminally underrated movie that
deserves to be much more famous than it is!

Buddy's Song - A great film if you have a soft spot for old fashioned happily ever after endings. It deserves more credit than it got

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Love the title too. Watched it ages ago and it's always stuck in my mind. Warren Oates was magic.

My vote goes to Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire..... a much missed deleted film....

It brought Vampires/Rocky Horror sentiments to the world of snooker! It was totally sublime. I saw it only once on Channel 4 shortly after the channel was launched. I wish they'd show it again. Or some kind soul would release in on DVD.....

And Buckaroo Banzai. I liked it when I was a kid
but saw it again recently and thought it was awful so it's probably a good thing no ones heard of it.
