Laurence Olivier already owns the British title - Pacino and De Niro are still vying for it in the states. Once upon a time it could've belonged to Charlton Heston if he wasn't such an gun-toting madman! But for me it's Robert De Niro all the way

This is really hard for me, there's so many actors I like for so many reasons. I guess Jack Nicholson, because I find him to be cosistantly good in all of the films I have seen him in.

Robert De Niro... with considerable ease too! "On every street in every city, there's a nobody who dreams of being a somebody..."

In no particular order: Men; Alec Guiness James Earl Jones Paul Newman Robert De Niro Al Pacino Cary Grant Toshiro Mifune Daniel Autieul Daniel Day Lewis Sidney Poitier Spencer Tracy Humphrey Bogart James Stewart Women; Cicely Tyson Katherine Hepburn Rosalind Russell Irene Dunne Julie Christie Liz Taylor (only in the 40s, 50s and early 60s) Ida Lupino (mainly because she was a pioneer director as well) Louise Fletcher Jane Fonda Vanessa Redgrave I'm sure there are others think of but I can't think of them at the moment.

Al Pacino is the greatest actor of all time!!!!!
People like you find it easy, Naked to see, Walking on air. Hunting by the rivers, Through the streets, Every corner abandoned too soon, Set down with due care. Don't walk away in silence, Don't walk away.

I would have said Al Pacino, but now he just tends to shout instead of act. Everytime I watch De Niro now, I keep expecting him to say 'Jesus, Focker. It's just a game', unfair, I know as they are both brilliant. So I am going to nominate my favourites (not necesarily the greatest) Gary Oldman Johnny Depp Johm Malkovic Denzel Washington. I would love the title to go to Bruce Campbell!! Hail to the king, baby!

I love Al pacino and Robert De Niro, like most movie fans. But up there with them are Tim Robbins and Sean Penn. In my humble opinion

Have thought about this long and hard. Would say Al Pacino but of late I've preferred Tom Hanks, especially in Road to Perdition.
