Beauty and the Beast - the greatest! Failing that the original - Snow White. Still one of the few Disney films that can frighten a small child!!

I loved the Aristocats.
Bambi comes in real close behind.
Aladdin was best for laughs - best song "Friend Like Me".
Hubby would say "Song Of The South".

I still find it irritating that it nabbed the Oscar for best song...It should've gone to Annie Lennox. Okay she got one eventually but it's nowhere near as Beautiful as Love song for a vampire

Lion King is the best for me. My favourite bit is when Scar's army of hyenas are goose stepping. It gets a little dark then.

I've always thought this will depend on your age, as if you were brought up on 'Bambi', 'Snow White', etc, you experinced Disney films with very soft graphics and incredible attention to detail in the background.
The films would therefore feel very alive, very atmospheric.
The graphics or drawings have become somewhat harder now, and lazier so far as background detail is concerned.
Having said that, I thought that 'Hercules' was well impressive.....can't remember if that was Disney, though!

I also love the Fox and the Hound, although it makes me cry! I also love Robin Hood - watched it last Christmas and was by far the best thing on all Christmas - the rooster Minstrel is particularly brilliant.
