Oh dear, too many Bloom/Pitt fans out there me thinks!

Sadly 'Troy' was higher than that- 60 something and I almost choked on my beverage when it came higher than classics like 'Ran', 'The Battle of Algiers', 'Rome, Open City' and 'Come and See'! I thought 'The Last Samurai' was entertaining, very p.c. and sad that the American saves the Japanese- reminded me of the right-on 'Dances with Wolves.' I don't think it was that great though, and really when you watch one of Kurosawa's Samurai films- 'Kagemusha', 'Ran', 'The Seven Samurai', 'Yojimbo'- it shows how lacking it is!

The last samurai was horribly derivative. It was an exact mix of braveheart and dances with wolves, but with Japanese instead of indians.
