my biggest tearjerkers are the color purple-when the sisters meet at the end,
a tv movie called " i know my name is stephen" about a child who is abducted and his subsquent life, it's heartbreaking.

Where's Moulin Rouge Red Face- has to be the saddest ending ever.
Thought that:
Braveheart
The Green Mile
Pay it Forward
should have been included

I don't normally cry at films, even if I find them sad, but I saw Shawshank Redemption the other day and I wept like a baby. That is such an amazing film, harrowing, but uplifting at the end when Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman meet up again at the end. I think everyone agrees that Shawshank is an inspirational film and if you didn't cry, you have a heart of stone.

I always cry at the end of The Snowman, no matter how hard I bite my lip.

Also cried my way through Truly Madly Deeply. The ending is so unrealistic, though. I mean who in their right mind would go off with some bloke when they have the ghost of Alan Rickman waiting for them at home???

Any Disney film. I don't even like them. Refused to watch Finding Nemo (not Disney, I know).
Anyone else cry in Elf? Now that was embarrassing!

I think ET was the first film I ever cried at when I saw it in the cinema age 7, and it still has the same effect...

Philadelphia made me cry the first time I saw it, as did Schindler's List.

I found the end of American Beauty very moving, when he's saying how grateful he is for every last minute of his life, despite what happened.

Any documentary involving children in hospital gets me.

Pay it Forward didn't make me cry at all. I found it exploitative, cheesy, with a dreadful ending which betrayed the audience's trust!
