First film I ever cried at was The Lion King.

One film that really sticks in my mind which I don't think is mentioned is Simon Birch - I'm not sure if many have seen it but its a fantastic film. Its the only film that I have cried at for about 15 minutes after it finished.

Braveheart is a real tearjerker. I'm really emotional, it's one of my Mum's favourite films and when I watch it, glance over and see her bawling her eyes out I just have to let it come out. Roll Eyes

I find ones that relate to personal experiences hit you more than anything else. If I see a film like that I'm thinking about it for days after.

No, Gordie. I didn't cry, I admit I got a bit upset when L. DiCaprio popped back up to the surface after the ship had sunk but I was comforted later when he slipped beneath the waves for ever.

The Champ - my whole family cried at this one Christmas

Watership Down - Bright Eyes still brings a tear to my eye.

The Last Snows of Spring - Haven't seen this for years, but it made me weep when I first saw it.

Truly, Madly, Deeply - I know the ending is quite happy, but I still found it very moving.

Cold Feet finale!

I hated Rachel (I'm sorry but that's my opinion) so I cried for Adam.

Indeed, the top 100 list is shameful. There's quite a few from the lists given by other members that I haven't seen, but the films that have always made me cry are:
[LIST]
-Dumbo (a real tearjerker---so so sad!!)

I also thought Pieces of April is quite sad--- when April becomes all excited that her family are there, and then they're gone and she cries!!! That started me off! *sob*!

Hi
Previously in this thread (but I can't find it now) somebody mentioned a 'made for t.v.' programme called 'The Gift' starring Amanda Burton and Trevor Peacock. It really was a tearjerker, very moving. I've been trying to get a copy of it for yeeaarrs and yeearrs. Has anyone got a copy I could have, copy from, borrow, anything!!!! I'm willing to pay. I've tried tv companies, production companies, even the actors but cannot obtain a copy, please help.

Cheers

Mack

After such a long running series, the last episode of M*A*S*H was really tough going with everyone saying goodbye to each other.

The film "Leon" comes to mind too. Such a violent film yet such a poignant ending.

I can't believe lion king and the land before time wasn't in the list, I would have liked to see the little princess, terminator 2 when he says the famous "Now I know why you cry..." line and loads more other films.

i was so surprised these films werent in the top 100 because i wept through all of them!
The Lion King The Lion King - mean come on, when Muffassa dies and Simba thinks he killed him - it's SO sad!
Of Mice and Men Of Mice and Men - this is possibly one of THE saddest films - how can it NOT be in the top 100?!
When George has to shoot Lennie! and when the Candy's dog dies!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - now im not sure whether it deserved to be in the top 100 but it sure is e tearkerker! im talking about when Cedric Diggory dies, and you see Harry Potter and Cedric D's dad's look of horror that his son had died after thinking that he and Harry ahd come back and won the cup together! (also whenever Harry talks about his parents and their death - brings a tear to my eye!)
Free Willy - there are so many parts in that film i cry at! i hope everyone's seen it so i shouldnt have to explain.
One flew over the Cuckoo's nest - when the chief gets killed! get's me every time!
The O.C sereis 3 - I could not stop crying when Marissa died!! When Ryan held her in his arms and she slowly closed her eyes! and especially as this is a series and we followed her life through three years. The O.C. is never the same without her!
Grey Friar's Bobby - I haven't seen this film for quite a few years, however i rememeber it so well because I cried so much! It is such a moving film - how the dog lost his beloved owner and every day would visit and lie on his grave!
Homeward Bound - the whole film is so moving and then when the animals get split up its so sad! The ending makes me cry aswell even though the animals get reunited with their family (tears of joy i think!)

There are SO many more but at the moment i can't list them all! I'll tr and think of some more later!
Anyone agree with me on these films?
