I can't resist an uplifting film, I love period dramas and stories of triumph.

The Piano I never thought it would end as well as it did, superb film.
The Shawshank Reedemption anyone who is not affected by the ending is MAD
Jane Eyre When Rochester declares his love
midnight express When Billy escapes

there's loads, loads more

Two scenes that always make me cry:

Girl Interrupted-when Lisa breaks down in the basement towards the end.
Magnolia-When everyone starts singing to that really sad song.

The end of Midnight Cowboy always makes me cry and I found Casualties of War upsetting as well when the Vietnamese girl is killed.

As for uplifting, really corny films like Grease and An Officer and a Gentleman make me happy.

Shawshank Redemption....it uplifts me and it makes me cry in some parts. Same goes for Amelie.

Schindler's List made me really cry. Exremely emotive film.

Makes you wonder if the actors became close after such a powerful scene. She must have been petrified.

I love the end scene in John Carpenter's Starman with Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. Such a moving film, especially at the end when she discovers she's pregnant. If you've seen it you'll know what I mean... hopefully!

Ooh sounds v. tempting. I'm am partial to a bit of a 6-pack - De Niro in taxi driver for example, he didn't have to do all that work but I'm so glad he did! Oh RobbieJess what are we to do? Ninja Smile

Hmmm well archangel01, the opportunities that await us are limitless. Imagine rubbing creamy soap over a Robert Redford lookalike with a hot 6-pack Wink Bearing in mind I look like him when he was in his 20's... well a little bit! I could do numerous things to make your sensative parts all tingly. What you think?
