Well said, calamico!
It does indeed take two to tango. The whole thing could be a stitch-up for all we know.

Yes, we've never been told exactly what Schumacher has been advising Ferrari about. Win any way you can maybe.
|
| |
|

|
Haha! Even my mum who has no interest in motorsport suggested that Ferrari had probably given their information to McLaren to get them thrown out... if they can't beat them on the track; do it in the court.
|
| |
|

|
Ferrari have a reputaion for dirty tricks if they find that they are not No1 - look back over the history of F1 and you will see its littered with them!

If Moseley is forced to resign will justice return to f1 and the truth finally be told.
Things usually work out in the end - it's just that it takes longer in some places than others.
It wouldn't surprise me if McLaren changed its' engine supplier - soon.

| |
|

The acronym FIA says it all. The F stands for Ferrari. And the last race in Brazil a McLaren suffers gear box glitch for ~ 30 seconds which is all that was needed to make sure the driver did not score enough points to win the championship. Conspiracy theories or fact. Time only will tell.

Chances are he'll be replaced by Jean Todt ... so no, still the "Ferrari are the greatest" roadshow. They'll be the sole manufacturer supplying A1GP next year so expect to see "Scuderia Italia" suddenly winning every race by 45 secs........if there's anyone watching, that is. Shame, A1GP was just about piquing my interest as well.

Once Hamilton moves on, McLaren will be a decent team again. They are obviously missing the contributions of Alonso.

Hamilton was guilty of throwing away a surefire title---with an error your granny wouldn't make. Something didn't add up there...

Last time Mclaren won the world championship was with Hakinnen maybe 7/8 years ago and they have had some really good drivers since then (Raikonnen, the current world champion). Last year they should have won but i think after the fiasco with Ferrari it was not going to happen. Alonso is a great driver and his contribution to car development is sorely missed at Mclaren but you have to give credit Hamilton for outperforming him in driving the car.

Out performing him?
Alonso and Hamilton finished on equal points, joint second. Hamilton had one retirement, Alonso had three or four.....

Hamilton might just prove to be the biggest disappointment in English F1.

.... or he might become the most successful driver in the history of the sport .... or he might fall somewhere inbewteen .... or he might fall in a hole. Who knows? Fact is he's 23 and in only his second season. Good luck to him.

...one of which involved having a tantrum and driving into a wall. Don't get me wrong, Alonso's excellent .... but there are chinks in his armour and there's no denying Hamilton's a prodigious talent behind the wheel.

Shamelessly nicked from another forum but i couldn't have put it better myself. "What is it with the British?
When we've a crap contestant in a sport we get behind them and cheer them on. Yet when we get someone who is TRULY world-class, they get hounded and slated".
LH is one of the best 3 or 4 drivers in F1 at the moment. Which, given his age and the fact that it's his 2nd season, promises a lot for the future. So kindly get off his back and lets see how he develops, eh?!?

I support Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Anthony Davidson. All very good British drivers.
|
| |
|

|
I too support all British drivers and i think at F1 level all the drivers are excellent but the car performance will be the major factor in producing a world champion. Currently the only British driver in a car capable of winning the world championship is Hamilton and we should all cheer him on.

He's won a fair bit already... including a number of F1 Grand Prixs! I'd much rather support him than a loser like Coulthard, at least Lewis knows how to overtake and doesn't hand over the race to his colleague because of a pre-race agreement! I'm with you, Assettt! From what I've seen of him so far he seems to be one of those rare breads, a true "racer", his overtaking is breathtaking at times... Or is the problem with Lewis something to do with his colour.....?
|
| |
|

|
the problem with lewis could possibly be overexposure he gets in the media & way he does PR --- too many 'side shows' & to be honest I find that boring. I'll never support a driver merely because he (or she?) is british - to me that's disturbed thinking & I'll always support the drivers I see as being great .. especially the ones that just get on with the driving like Raikonnen. I have never supported coulthard, button etc as they've always just been on the edge of greatness - never really achieved as much as they could have done with better luck or better cars. Will lewis ever be 'great' ... need to wait & see
why is it when I stand on my head that sometimes, just sometimes ......?

I'll report back on this if he ever wins the title.
