for fun?

but I'd re-model that radiator grill....junk the mechanical fuel injection in favour of a mappable ecu.....and still have enough money to spare for another cheap funmobile!

Yup, I'd probably go down that route too - nice RWD action and 200 turbocharged horses.

It depends what your idea of fun is.

Thrashing around the lanes.......sorted 205 GTi or 16v integrale? Old Scoobie has already been mentioned, I'd rather have a 'grale.

Gentle drive in the country.......?

Track days?..........lots of good sugestions in another post

Cruising about.......big old Jag/Merc?

I have a car that doubles as a day-to-day work car and a fun car at weekends, but would probebly go for a Giulia Saloon with a 2.0 Twin-Spark from a dead 164 dropped in, a 1300 gear box and a LSD from a Spider. I'd love to see the faces of the boy racers when you leave them for dead! I'd have to leave some "1300 Super" badges on too...... Big Grin

GP beach buggy and the engine from an old 911. Big Grin

I'd be dead in five minutes flat but they'd be a fun five minutes and I'd be very flat!

Hah, yeah! There's one on my car club that's running that, forged pistons etc, lasted a year so far.

Only problem being the wheel bolts sheered off, but that was because they hadn't been changed to take into account the extra power. No problems since.

UK roads don't work with fun, get a banger (Scooby 1800 pickup is cool, practical and a good reason not to take the mother in-law) Spend £1800 on a custom built computer (I run a computer company - as seen on the Richard Hammond 5'oclock show and would be happy to assist) then £200 on the latest games.

When folk call you nerdy, tell'em you spent the remainder on booze, red bull and birds - secretly you could get an ISA

na its still here, though now on autotrader website...first 350 quid takes it away...i actually dont mind keepin it just now, cos its a cracking old car, i will just use it sparingly at 23-26 mpg.....unfortunately with my recent house purchase i'v got more important things to spend my money on than fuel just now...jeez,...did i say that.....

biggbn - Robin Hoods are brilliant! Do they still make them? Thats a name from the past! I remember them when i was a kid & always promised myself I would buy a kit when i was 17 and build one. A friend of mine and I had it all planned! I wish we had done that but in the end he bailed out & i bought the Jaguar to restore instead.

They were incredible value for a kit, and more or less the real thing.

If i remember rightly i was going to dismantle a 1.8 Sierra for the parts. Have you ever driven an RH?

..unfortunately, i doubt i would fit into any of these retro rollerskates....atom is my favourite, closely followed by vx220 turbo....these are a bit more civilised than basic 7 replicas, but a hell of a lot more expensive too....an atom is barel more civilised than base jumping if you want ultimate thrills....i am currently tryin to drive the tyres off a wee daihatsu domino 850cc that i payed a hundred quid for t'other day...there's fun on a budget for ya...and it does such wonderful handbrake turns.....my neighbours LOVE me.......

Yep there is an older Robin Hood currently on autotrader that would give you change from £3700.

Would still put an ear to ear grin on my face Smile

Saw a radical at knockhill at the weekend and it was making the Caterhams, and everything else for that matter, look like they weren't trying.

If only I had the money!
