Using one as a courtesy car today as my Fabia VRS is in for service. Very smooth and comfortable although the quality of the plastics around the stereo is a bit poor.

The dealer told me they've just got word that the new Fabia VRS won't be out until mid 2010 and no word yet on the engine spec. Apparently they've concluded they can't do what they originally planned.

In PT magazine, an Octavia vRS has been nursed up to 300 bhp. That's decent and then some!

£2,500 cheaper than a Golf, same engine, more practical.
There's a strong argument, too, that the tiny difference in performance matters not on our modern day roads.

The Golf looks like 'N' number of HHs.
The vRS is different.
