And your beating a Saxo/Corsa in a Proton what exactly?

I was at my parents house this dinner time having fish and chips. My dad glanced out of the window and saw a car parking across the road. He asked me: "Is that a Mercedes SLK over there?" I stood up to get a better view of the car...it turned out to be a metallic grey Proton Gen-2!!!

He said he only caught a glimpse of the rear alloy wheel but I was still about how anyone could mistake the rear section of a proton for an SLK...an old Renault Megane perhaps but not an SLK!!!

I won't make the comment I was going to, as people have asked me not to quote a particular motoring jounalist excessivley.
