Marvelous - now it just needs Palmy to convert as well!
I have just read a Range Rover giant test and the 3.5 V8 derv engine was the best of all. Beating even the 4.4 supercharged petrol V8, as well as the smaller petrols.

Resale value, mpg, servicing intervals, for starters.
If do go that route, the Tomcat with be rested or sold and the money saved on petrol on the interim will be saved and spent either of nice performance mods on the Rover, or on an Evo 4/5 or the like.

Precisely why i am out of fast road cars, now and have a street-legal track car, to go with the Panda 100 HP, (now 112 bhp) and trusty CRV workhorse. (The Honda CRV is making way for a used X5 3.0 TD, in autumn this year. 286 bhp, rather than the 138 bhp i have now. It should be fun as well as practical.)
