I won't, I'll just like the 350-400 miles to £35, as opposed to £50 for 230 miles. It'll be purely a work hog.

Marvelous - now it just needs Palmy to convert as well!

thats a disgrace, temporary ban for that man. you know the rules, never drive diesel!
with the new pump prices i dont see how folks see it as being more economic than petrol now.

.......
There's got to be a hundred reasons why i should listen to diesel owners, but right now, i can't think of any.

I have just read a Range Rover giant test and the 3.5 V8 derv engine was the best of all.
Beating even the 4.4 supercharged petrol V8, as well as the smaller petrols.

Resale value, mpg, servicing intervals, for starters.

Diesels are cheaper to run than petrols and tend to have longer service intervals.

If do go that route, the Tomcat with be rested or sold and the money saved on petrol on the interim will be saved and spent either of nice performance mods on the Rover, or on an Evo 4/5 or the like.

I only require a car for the weekends really, and am having to use it more and more frequently for work. Which costs me an absolute fortune.

Yeah, it would make sense to have a weekend car.

Precisely why i am out of fast road cars, now and have a street-legal track car, to go with the Panda 100 HP, (now 112 bhp) and trusty CRV workhorse.
(The Honda CRV is making way for a used X5 3.0 TD, in autumn this year.
286 bhp, rather than the 138 bhp i have now. It should be fun as well as practical.)

On the rare outing the Westy has had it has proved itself to be a little rocketship.
