There are alot of extreme cars I would like... SLR McLaren, Lamborghini Murcielago, Bugatti Veyron, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, 911 C4, and so on...
But if i could have one car and one car only, with which to do all my motoring, it would be a Range Rover Vogue Supercharged 4.2.
Forget ultimate fantasy cars, I'd just be ecstatic if I could scrape together a mere 5000 euro for a mint series 2 Daimler double six 4.2 I've spotted.
Back in lala fantasy land, I quite fancy a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti as my do-everything car, though one would "settle" for a current generation Porsche 911 Carrera S or Maserati Quattroporte.
NOW youre talking, Crankcase. Im off this week to look at a very good condition Jaguar Sovereign V12 in cobalt blue with FSH. Captivating car for not alot of $$.

Yes Andy they are very nice. There is one at the bottom of this road , black Supercharged Sport very very nice. Then one of my clients bought his wife one & said I could drive it anytime i wanted... So of course i had a go to see if i liked it . And guess what? I did.

When I think of AUDI's, I think of the fire breathing SWB Quattro Sports not the bland stuff we have today. The RS6 is a real Q-car, I gave myself a real fright in one - very quick !

It would have been rude and discourteous not to have done really
Well of course, old bean. I thought it best to display manners under such circumstances
Theyve offered it to us for use with clients at Henley or Cheltenham Festival... might be tempted. Wange Wovers are jolly splendid for a jaunt to the waces.

That's not what I was referring to, more suprised at the choice of something non-italian!
Yes the Audi ur-quattro as it was known was firebreathing and unruly - and it showed the world what winning rallies was about. As did the Ferrari-engined Lancia Stratos which was a fantastic car.
I am very pleased that manufactuers are now starting to make interesting cars again, after a very dull & bland 1990s. Most 1990s cars were so awful theyve been forgotten and most are now worthless. You have to delve deep into the 70s & 80s to find anything interesting. A welcome return to desirable cars that we as enthusiasts want to own is here. Just look at some of the new stuff in Car Magazine this month.
stratos is being relaunched now too...looks stunning....any car in the world..christ i cant make up my mind what i want this week never mind fantasy car...maybe a 911 rs 2.7 or a maserati bora....or a mint tatra 603

I cannot think of one car that would do everything that is Italian........possibley a 156 GTA Sportwagon (although, cannot get the hound in one !) or a 159 Q4 Sportwagon.
I do actualy like cars from outside Italy, believe it or not ! There are just some cars I cannot stand and would never have, I just keep that to myself !

Yeah, I suppose my "everything" choice, the 612 Scaglietti doesn't actually do everything, being a coupe, but it's a case of it does most things so I can make little sacrifices like not being able to make trips to B&Q and stuff.
imagine the looks you would get casually throwing a coupla bags of compost and a patio bbq into the back of the scaglietti tho.....priceless.....i once transported a garden shed we had knocked flat in sections from ayrshire to dundee...on a roofrack....attached to a series 3 jag.....we got some funny looks that day i can tell ya...and all that weight above the roof had a very strange effect on the big cats handling....

Well if it doesn't have to be practicle, I'll have a Stratos or a 595 Abarth or a Tipo 33 Stradale or 6C 2500 Coupe or a 288 GTO Evo or a Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider or a S4 Delta..............you get the general idea
Nah, you'd want the £30k one with the prodrive kit, stupidly quick and still a four door saloon, what's more practical?
You're right though, money no object there's hundreds of nicer cars out there. Sod practicality i'd take a late 50's merc 300SL gullwing, doubt i'd even fit it in but so what.
