Work starts 3/4th of February on the new build. On the cards for the summer, circumstances allowing, will be a DP Motorsport turbo kit for 220-230bhp, and a nice respray in Metallic Arden Blue - found on the Zafira and Astra GSi Turbos. I don't think the new shell is in wonderful condition, and I have a friend who can do me a full respray for around £300 - which is the price of materials. Some Team Dynamics black lightweight racing wheels would go down nicely too, saving 30kg over all. Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 220 Weight without Driver (KG) : 800 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 279.41 0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.72 0 - 100 (Secs) : 11.42 60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.70 Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.10 Terminal Speed (MPH) : 107.08 Some nice theoretical figures there.

Are you using L62 NVC as a base car, or is it a completely different one?
Will be fast, thats for sure!

Andy, unfortunatley L62 NVC is very much dead, and is bent in half. Looks rather like a cat, curling around to attack! However this new chassis will look the same as it has the GT/GTi bodykit as standard and is also in black. When I've completed this project, I will retire her to a track day special and get something a little more sophistacted as a daily runner, like the Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo LE.

That sounds like an excellent idea!
Would you keep it road registered and insured, or would you trailer it to events?
I wish I still had my race trailer. Im moving house next weekend & have found out that van rental prices have soared since I last moved. Ive had to rent a van from Osama Bin Laden at half the price of the high-street rental companies.
Race trailer was a twin-axle box trailer & would be perfect for the job!
