Which generation is the E28? I get lost with BMW's E numbers.

Second.
E12, 28, 34, 39, and 60/61 the current.
It's a B reg. Used to have a standard 520i which was great, just seeing if anyone knows anything about the Alpina version.

If you Google Image search 'BMW Alpina B2.8', the first few pics are what I have my eye on.

If it's a good price, great car!

The B2.8 was the lowest level E28 Alpina, B7, 9 and 10 were better, the B2.8 was only cosmetic (apart from exhaust and suspension), the others had engine upgrades. Still think it's good though??
There's a really cheap one on eBay but I think it's fake.

It's got the rear badges, rear spoiler, seats, steering wheel, gear stick and even the plaque, but no front spoiler, front badge, side stripe design or Alpina rims... I think the guy has a standard E28 and found a B2.8 on a scrapheap or something with frontal damage, took the stuff above and put it onto his car, and is now trying to sell it as a B2.8... if the front was damaged he couldn't take the front spoiler, front badge or wheels.
