I presume rights to paint names means different manufacturers (or groups) have to use different names ??

note about black: there's no such colour, its merely the darkest shade of most other colours .. just though i'd let yuz know

I remember when I was carrying out an MOT on a BMW on writing out the certificate I put down for the colour as Black. The customer complained that I had not put down the correct colour code some people.

If you worked in a BMW service zenttrum then I'd hope you'd fill out the correct code and name! Good grief!
paint colours for cars tend to be worse than Dulux emlsion! i remember once being lured by 'Linen'...
The best I saw was a Pontiac brochure with Champagne Shimmer! Just what were they thinking, obviously a few too many dates with L'Oreal!
