nothing really wrong, its just a basic by modern standards indian built shopping car - for the price i'd rather have a used car [that's just my opinion]

I must say i very much dislike this car, I think the shape is quite horrid. Its a bit like doors, windows and roof come standard, not an awful lot more. My brother owned one and they can be a bit tuff on long distances very strenuous.

look thing was i don't much about cars so my dad helping me decide which one i want and i look at it in car saleroom they made it look quite nice, shiny and i was impressed so my dad put a despoit on it. i was happy about it until i did some web searches and found negative reviews.

i'm might as well add this is going to be my first car-it's brand new

having a brand new first car seem a bit OTT - suppose it means car is under warranty. has a few things on its side; av 57mpg, 119 g/km CO2 emissions [AA] = very cheap road tax BUT is insurance group 5 !!! euro made equivelants will be grp 1/2. as long as you dont venture out onto the open road it should perform ok & checking spec it does not seem as basic as i thought [its got leccy windows ...]

They aint the best cars on the road, but there certainly not the worst! You should never experience any problems with it, as suzuki tend to be reliable. who cares about the negative reviews it has, just because What BMW? (sorry car?!) don't like it doesn't mean its rubbish: Just not the best! Its your first car, enjoy it and remember it beats using public transport!!

thank you, the main good thing about this car is that it's a cheap car, i agree it OTT but because cheap surely better chances to lasting-with second hand cars we have no idea what can go wrong, no matter what check you do, there may be future problem unseen, with this car because it's brand new there won't be a problem.

with most new car , normal 6 months road tax free, 3 years road-side assitance plus GAP insurance Smile

Had one of these when the OH wrote off the MG. It was very very basic and didn't like going fast. I much prefer the swift.

I drove an Alto once, as a courtesy car. I couldn't help it, but the Noddy theme tune kept going through my head the whole time I was in the car. It was quite nippy though. Reminded me of the Mini a bit. Bit small for me though - knees jammed against the steering wheel. Overall, a good car for the money. You can buy a brand new one for less than £5k. Thats for a reliable motor with 3 years warranty and 3 years roadside assistance - peace of mind. Thats why the old folk like them.

Good luck with the Alto Bala. Smile The local Suzuki dealer seem to be flogging these brand new for £5k. Not many other new cars for the same £.

Have to say I have a soft spot for cars like these....not fast perhaps but a fun drive I bet. Big Grin The next generation Alto should be a hoot, as good as the new Charade.

I used a different car (can't remember what), won the race and went on to get 100% completion in the game. Big Grin

I had to admit, although I brought one in GT4, I've never driven it, only using the Beat for the K-Car race (purely for superior weight/power ratio) and won in it, stay away from the Ginetta that I have, although elligible, 'cos I didn't want to look as I am taking an easy win
