I have driven both the petrol and diesel Civics and various Jazzes (Jazzi?) as these are the courtesy cars I get when my Accord is serviced. It really depends on how you will use the cars but I assume the Civic is the 2nd car?
My main dealer has no major probs with Civic or Jazz to report but my observations are:
Civic has different rear suspension from previous models which used a full double-wishbone arrangement (like the Accord) and now use a cheaper, more space-efficient torsion beam. I can certainly tell the difference on the road as we have had many Civics in the past.
I found the ride quite firm and the cabin noise somewhat intrusive. The A pillars are also very thick and can affect visibility at junctions etc. Overall I was somewhat underwhelmed and chose to have another Accord rather than change to a Civic (which was my original plan when I saw the concept model).
However, I am VERY impressed with every courtesy Jazz I am given and would choose this over the Civic as a second car (except my wife loves her HRV too much!).
Hope this may help somewhat.
