I hear Palmy's ordered an SN08 for his new Merc. Also, a special NOJ08 has been allocated to Liverpool. .......already regretting this....

haha excellent Boig!
If you live in Scotland, then no dount SN08 will be a frequent sight!
I often see BL03 JOB outside a club in Dean Street (Soho) and next to it is a silver Bentley GT with XXX 1 as its plate.
On Chelsea Embankment there is a garage which often has its doors open & in it are an Aston and a Rolls Royce parked next to eachother, and the license on the Aston is 2 BE, and on the Rolls it is NOT 2 B. When theyre parked next to eachother they read 2 BE and NOT 2 B
Excellent.
I expect if you live in Milton Keynes, where the letter K is from, youll have to avoid your car being registered KN08.
However, i know of a fairly local Porsche owner who should have waited & got KN08 HED. Somehow appropriate.

I suspect the DVLA won't allow any cars to be registed as KN08 as I think they filter out naughty number plates. For example there are no P155 ??? registrations as far as I know.

^ I wouldn't be so sure, they managed to let PEN 1S slip through their hands. So to speak.

LMAO
Mind you I guess that was in more innocent times, S-reg that'd be around '77/'78. Well that's assuming it wasn't sold in one of their cherished number plate auctions.

Boig how can you pacifically pick Liverpool out for the NOJO8 plate when in every city there are unemployed people. I live in Liverpool and i work full time 6 days a week, as do my friends and family. Each city has its fair share of trouble and unemployment.

Oops. I've "done a Boris" ...... That was meant entirely in jest, YO. Playing on a tired, football-terrace stereotype I know having lived for a time in Liverpool to be untrue but in jest nonetheless. I'm sorry if it caused you offence.

You didn't offend me personally mate, just thought i would tell you in a nice way not to mark Liverpool out as a city of unemployment because you know what some are like.. "i'll break ya legs kidda"!! Ahhhh mate!

S555SSS is apparently for sale. Might fetch a bit. The plate makers can make that read SSSSSSS quite easily.

What is all this fuss about private plates? Nothing wrong with any of my standard plates.

I just bought a 55 plat recently, but would've loved to have got: PA55 OUT or one staring with PI and ending in FF

When I lived in Pembrokeshire there was a stationery company (Glynn Edwards) who had a whole run on number plates in the same format eg. M1GLE. Must have spent all the profits on those plates, he had about 10 of them. There were two vans that were often parked next to each other that gave me a chuckle: P1GLE W1GLE. I doubt anyone there saw it, but to me, that was Piggly Wiggly. Maybe that's just Southern blood shinin' through.
Well we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.
