I am looking at a 2003-build, Cosworth-Westy, at the moment. The idea, is that i would have a car which i could use for quarter miles, half miles, the odd track day and the occasional hill climb. I have been to see it today. It is a very clean car, well built at home in Leicester, with a dyno proven 310 bhp and 276 lbs-ft. What i really like, is that no silly boost levels have been used. The car is totally reliable, even with high power for just 1998cc. Weight is around 600 kgs, so it should go extremely well. £14K. It also has a nice carbon-effect dashboard, with just 4 dials, no unnecessary clutter.
I was recently telling B308 and George, (XNTRIK), that, since there are less and less places to go really fast, safely, on the public highway nowadays, i have decided that i am getting out of very quick road cars and doing my quick driving on the track, from now on.
The Westy should be with me in 2 weeks' time and the M5 is now up for sale.
The Cosworth-Westfield will do some SS quarter-miles, some SS half-miles, some track days and an occasional hill-climb!

Yup, my days of very fast cars on the road are (probably) over, simply because there are far too many cameras, too many speed humps and too much traffic. You just can't extend something like this V10, without losing your life or your licence. I shall get my fast motoring kicks on the track now.
