A friend of ours has bought a new one of these, complete with a rather catchy private plate. I wouldn't actually buy one, but what a great car that is. The looks, engine, interior and ride are superb.
Pleased to hear it. Only briefly seen one in the flesh - it looks good although personally I think Jaguar should have been braver and made it lower to fit its sports coupe styling.
only seen the one xf so far --- a metallic blue V8 with private plates -- that grille certainly stands out

In isolation the new Jag is a great car but how good is it compared to the competition. I'm not sure if i could i would spend my money on the jag. Just not opinion.
I've just been to the Whatcar? website and specced an A6-4.2 V8, BMW 540i V8 and a Jag XF 4.2 V8 and all cost # £45000. However of the 3 the Jag is has the least bhp, the thirstiest, more CO2 emissions, higher insurance group and will cost the most to run.The jag is quoted to have greater % value retained at the end of 3 years but so far this is all assumptions. Personally if i was buying, i will put my money on the 5er.
