I remember a lecturer at Uni gave us a blank map and told us to fill in all the names of English counties. Apparently the least identified county in England is Northamptonshire. Being a Geographer you usually get asked 2 questions or variations of them. 1) Where's place x (usually a really small village no-ones even been to in the middle of nowhere) OR 2) What's the capital of x (they try African nations most).

wonder which one of us would get the lowest score on filling that blank map with names if we tried it today, i'd have trouble even with even listing 10 of them, never mind where they are!!!

i must display my ignorance and admit that i have to refer to a map anytime any mention of english towns/counties come up....totally clueless, but like most blokes, will never actually admit i dunno where im going....

Me too but vice-versa. No idea of Scottish counties, could name a few cities/towns but thats about it!!
