whats the point of doorbells......if i come and ring your doorbell for a chat twice a day or so and you dont know me from adam wouldnt you be a bit pi**ed off.....if on the other hand youd said, george, pop by any time for a cup of cha, bit of toast and a run in the old beemer you would probably be happy to see me.....see the difference between unsolicited and invited contact.....jeez......

A better explanation has just been sent privately to you. REPLY to me. Biggbn, i have/had no problem with you, but someone said to me last night that you have become just another person's puppet instead of being your own man and it looks rather like they could be right, unfortunately. I did not say that I agree with "Grip", just that his post required a proper response. The illogical and paranoid ramblings I got in response from "Bamford" are the strangest thing I have ever seen on an internet forum, which is supposed to be the free exchange of ideas and opinions. To tar everyone who disagrees with you (which I didn't) with the same brush and to be so dismissive is ludicrous. I am suprised that your behaviour has not led to you being banned.
Reading through the rest of the thread, it seems that "Bamford" could start an arguement in a telephone box.
I for one will now avoid the 4Car forum, and stick to the other areas of the C4 forums.

Whats the point in all this multiple name, trouble causing on Forums? havent some people got a real life to take up their time so they have to invent another? mind you that must be true as they have sites like second life where you can do just that. Why then cant the car enthusiasts amongst us be left in peace to enjoy our hobby without being slated.

I just find it rather disturbing Bamford that anyone would want to sit at their computer making a life up and going round forums causing trouble. There are some very very sad and lonely individuals in this world!

At one point it went far deeper than just multi-names, Craig. You would be horrified to know what other stuff went on. I am not prepared to go into that here however. Suffice to say that it was most unpleasant.

MY opinion biggbn, is that you are a decent and fun guy, if i though different i would tell you so. Here or in person. It is how i am. BUT.............you are as capable of a mistake as the rest of us and have, indeed, made a couple recently. IMHO.

Back on topic. I spoke to the owner today and put across, very gently, my concerns regarding the car's statistics. "Drive it". That was the reply. He has recorded almost identuical times in it to his pal's Caterham R500 at Brands Hatch and Snetterton. To me that is quick enough.

A Westfield with the 2 litre pinto engine has a 0-60 of 5.5 secs (if you can get good traction) and a top speed of 113mph. That is undoubtedly quick, but short of Maclaren F1 pace.

132.5 bhp 393kgs Noxide, what were those figures again? I know the system was shown to be accurate when we tested them against 3 different tuned cars we had seen official, independantly tested figures for.
