123d versus 135i was never an issue MG! 135d versus 135i is and will be!

MG, i detect a degree of, erm, boisterousness(?), in 535d's posts. It's a great car he has, but everything to all people-no car can ever be.

Buses have large turbo diesel engines, so you'd probably like them anyway!!!!!!!

Perhaps he caught his knickers on the door handle whilst exiting / entering said vehicle hence the knicker elastic snapping in a 5 series diesel

I actually meant to say 540i - a nice rumblimg V8 petrol for the same price. Saying that, you could probably haggle the 550i down near to that price, as it is not that popular.

You cannot seriously believe that a 300C will rust away in a couple of years?

Yeh, I'll have a Diesel Stagecoach bus, thanks.

Oh dear - someone please tell this silly little 14 year old dreamer that.. a) GS450h uses 3.5L petrol engine same size, I believe as the 535D? b) GS450h has more HP and Torque (wikipedia will keep you right on what these mean!) c) GS450h sprints to the benchmark 60 faster d) GS450h is not a rival to M5, GS-F will take care of that

I've just spent the day (Frankfurt to Koln) in a 530D A/T, it is the second time I've had one on hire.
The first one was a much more relaxed drive, this one seemed unable to come out of either the sport handling or drivetrain mode. It was OK on the Autobahn but dire round town, I had Avis come and replace it in Koln I was so unhappy with it.
I look for a car that is relaxing to drive, life is stressed enough without needing to make every journey from A to B a rally. That is why I would now opt for either the new Toyota Camry (a Lexus 350, without the price tag) or the Nissan Teane. Unless you have driven them, dont write them off.
They are comfortable, capable, reliable and relatively frugal for 3,5 Ltr motors. The new Mondeo I have yet to drive, but it will need to be very good to compete with either.

PMSL!!!!! 5 series, eye turner? Whatchoo talkin bout Willis? It hardly what I would call an eye turner. It's just an average looking Euro barge that mostly driven my middle management sales reps. It may be a decent car (might even be the best in it's class), but best in the world is a laughable claim.

The M5 is a good move forward for you, i'd say. I wouldn't actually buy one myself, because i don't care for the looks or gearbox, but you'll love the engine.

I don't doubt anything that you say about yourself in the above post. Thanks for the tip. I'll avoid flying BA if you are on the flying staff (just in case you are the pilot). Bamford put it rather delicately in a previous post: "... I detect a degree of, erm, boisterousness(?), in 535d's posts." I'll put it more bluntly . You are not impressing anyone in this forum with your air of smug superiority. Now go away and play with your toys. Better still, go and read a book on English grammar.

Actually I think the 335d is the better car. The only reason to go for the 535d is for the space or if you want a used car.

It's a Reliant Robin, not robin reliant.

Superb, keep it coming - you're making yourself out to be an idiot. In the (very) slim chance that what you say is true, it does not say very much for BAs pilot recruitment programme! ... Just had to re-read your post again - quality, absolute quality!
